Recently I bought a Ridgid cordless angle grinder, however, I noticed that the grinding wheels wear unevenly. I replaced a wheel with a new one, and that fixed a little bit of the bouncing I got when working on a piece, but the wheels still wear only on one side. I pulled out a form of touch off gauge I had and determined that the disc gets about .6 degrees of wobble on average - measured 2 inches from center with ~2 hundredths of an inch variance in multiple disc orientations relative to the spindle.
This is the disc.
You can see that it is worn a little extra on the bottom left, whereas the top right is almost a perfect square. It doesn't skid or bounce much, but as I am new to angle grinding, I have some questions.
Is this normal? Will the affect anything? Is it just my technique and is my measured variance tolerable? And lastly, should I exchange the tool?
