To reiterate my problem, I have a Makita Portable drilling machine in a kit with tools and accessories …lovely . Accept that the 14 volt Nicad batteries now a few years old, will not retain a charge for longer that a few minutes …perhaps one or two holes in soft wood . As the drill is still good I want to change it Lithium iron I saw an online advert for an adapter plate that fits into the old Nicad and accepts the Makita 18V Lithium battery. Can anybody share experience with modified Makita Battery
