  1. Why does Ryobi make its table saws with a non standard mitre slot. I want a precision cross-cut fence but I am happy to pay the £100 but then I will have to pay for an engineer to modify the bar. I would also like a crosscut sled but the non- standard mitre slot makes this very difficult.
  2. The mitre slot on my Ryobi table saw is approx 7.5mm (no tabs model). The mitre gauge that came with the saw floats around lacking any accuracy. All third party mitre gauges appear to use 9mm bars/slots. Even replacement bars are always 9mm. I am faced with buying 9mm bars and getting them milled down ( I say bars in the plural as I want to make some cross cut sleds). Any ideas guys? Does anyone make Ryobi size mitre bars?
