I have a D55168 compressor that has blown a plug of some sort from its bottom. It was pressurizing yesterday and I heard a small puff sound and then a loud discharge of air. Looking at it, it appears that a rubber or plastic plug may have blown out. I couldn't find anything that might have come from the blow out but it does look like something was attached at some point. Now there is about a 3/16" hole with some paint removed around it. See pics. Can someone me tell what's going on? I thought about plugging it with epoxy but I'd rather do it right if it can be repaired.
