  1. I use and own big DeWalt saws in shop, M12 compact gear and LXT for main tasks in field. Works for me.
  2. I am a huge fan of Milwaukee M12 size and cost even though my 18 v choice is the rugged Makita LXT line. I can’t really find any major flaws as a new tool user at work with Makita but their LXT seems way better than their CXT and doesn’t seem to have the same equality along voltages as Milwaukee’s 12 and 18 volt FUEL series/lines.
  3. I have a new brushless drill and brushed multitool in this voltage. I will see if in time I like them as much as 18 v Makita tools. But I have enjoyed my M12 brushed impact driver and brushless FUEL sawzaw. Great, professional tools I use on the job. If I could have only 18 v LXT Makitas and compact 12 v Milwaukees, I would be just fine. The only drawback of Makita in my small town is that it’s not always easy to find them. Milwaukee is more easily found in any store near a job.
  4. Newbie to the construction field this year after 34 years landscaping
