Glencoe

I have a problem with this saw getting it to stay in the upright position, 90d There is a locator pin shown in the photo which locks it in this position. There is a second locator hole at 45d and this works fine, the red pin slides in and locks but it doesn't work in the upright positon as the pin refuses to enter the locator hole. Any ideas how i cans sort this?
