Hey guys.. beginner wood worker here.
I just purchased a Ryobi 7 1/4 sliding miter saw. Good price and it works well. However I am confused about one thing.
I am working on some picture frames and cutting small stuff. When I adjust the angle of the saw to 45 deg. the sliding saw no longer cuts through the piece of wood. About a 1/2 inch of the corner is not cut. Is this the design? Is there some adjustment I am missing? I have fixed the behavior by attaching a half inch piece of stock to the fence, and now it cuts all the way through. Any suggestions? Thanks
Sam
