I bought this sander from a private party. The belt tensioner knob won't engage the motor shaft. I know it's left hand thread-what size metric or standard thread ? THX

I just bought a Ridgid EB44249 spindle sander from a private party,new in box.I had a Ryobi which ran fine but motor died. This model has a vibration like a buzzing feel. I ordered sleeves to see how it behaves under load. Anybody used anti vibration pads ?
