StrippedScrew
Does anyone know if Makita has ever sold the DDF481 and the DTD148 as a kit? Reason I asked is because they never seem to sell both together.
jeffmcmillan
I've never seen the DTD148 or TD170 in any kit. Makita isn't very good about putting kits together.

DR99
Wow, that's weird that Makita doesn't sell their premium drill and impact driver as a kit together. I

I My thoughts exactly, surely selling their premium drill and impact as a kit would make a great seller?

You would think pretty much every other power tool brand does that.

jeffmcmillan
If Makita sucks at anything it's marketing. The reps don't even seem excited about the new tools at trade shows.
kornomaniac
Thats also different in Every country. Here in belgium Makita does not sell those tools together. I comvibe those myself to well in my store. but im positive i have seen pictures from home depot with a kit of those 2 combined. Easiest would be to call a official dealer of the country where you live and ask
DR99
The kits I saw were the Bad ass Makita brushless drill with the lower end brushless impact driver inmost of the drill/impact driver kits at the home depot around me.
dmz2084
There's a bunch of different combo kits in Australia now that contain both the DHP481 and DTD148 including some 2 piece kits, but for along time the DTD148 wasn't available in any combo kits only lower end impacts were. I think the reason is because Makita had a large of inventory of impacts as they have produced at least 5 different brushless models that have been released world wide and they have a new brush model available in Japan. DR99
That is true Makita went a little crazy with the number of brushless impact drivers they introduced.
