Hey everyone, thanks for the warm welcome!
Aus seem to have a very wide selection of trade tool brands. I would say the popular tools are Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch and Dewalt. But Hitachi, Metabo and Panasonic are also widely available. If you look in the right places even HIlti and Festool etc aren't hard to find.
I'd love to play around with some Milwaukee and Metabo, but having 2 platforms is probably already a bit grand.
ETS7345: i see the dcd790 is your favourite tool. does it have enough torque for most tasks (say even auger bits up to 25mm)?
It has all the torque that I need. I use it for building furniture for the most part. But from what I have seen online it can handle just about anything you throw at it minus masonry work of course.

Here are some options for H&L sandpaper as far as getting it in sheets or rolls. Its how I have always purchased my H&L. H&L is the only way to go when sanding.

Welcome Dwain!

I bought a set of Milwaukee black oxide drill bits a while back from Lowes. The have no problem going through whatever I put in front of them.
I love all my DeWalt stuff and always will because I can always count on it. But, lets face it Milwaukee makes stuff pretty damn good.

Thats petty weight for a Dodge!!

I went to lowes today, i am happy and pissed off at the same time, im pissed off because Lowes has brought in china southwire which is complete shit compared to knipex greenlee, i am happy because all the knipex greenlee is on clearence. I got this insulated sethttp://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000X4PV0C for $39!! Regular price 108, i basically stole it, should i sell it or keep it, and i also picked up some of the deft semi gloss laquer.
Nice score Chase! I never seem to have any luck finding good deals like this.

My personal preference in Deft Laquer Semi Gloss. It sprays great out of a gun. If your project is going to be outside though polyurethane is your best bet.

The past three summers I have been working as a park ranger for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Our duty boots that we wear are Danner. They are by far the best boot I have ever worn. I get a new pair every summer but my first pair is still holding up.

That's right. If you have the skills to do it why not.

Plus what it costs to get genuine parts for them. Talk about outrageous.

I will probably be buying some more of their stuff in the future!

Sounds like its gonna be pretty sweet. Mine will be in Walnut with a nice storage cabinet underneath. Kind of like this one.

Sounds like a company who knows what people want.

Nice. Did you make the bed as well? I'm getting ready to build a kitchen table myself. I've decided on 7'x4'. I want to seat 8 comfortably or 10 in a pinch.
My next project is a kitchen table also.

Yes i'm trying to upload some more pics but it is restricting me to only a certain amount of photos?

I have heard good things about Tekton. So I thought I would give these a try. For the price and warranty I thought eh what the heck. You can never have enough of these things! Has anyone had any experience with Tekton?

Thanks Chase! What type of finish do you have lined out to use on it?

That's pretty awesome. I've got a 68 Cub Lo-Boy, a 62 Cub Cadet Original (currently disassembled), and a brand new Kubota BX2370. Love those old Farmalls or anything IH really. My Lo-Boy needs a hydraulic seal kit (I have the kit, just haven't had time to put it in), and a rear main seal. It had some carb issues but I think I've gotten them lined out. I'll probably sell the Lo-Boy as I really have no need for it.
Those cub originals are sweet little garden tractors. I have driven a couple of them. I love my red tractors. You know what they say, "If it ain't red leave it in the shed!" Hopefully there aren't any green lovers in here!

Wow thats great You have it now?
Yup its mine. Inherited it 7 years ago. Then restored it.

I use my tailgate as my miter stand. Not ideal, but I get by.
I use an old saw horse that I made for my stand.

I'll check it out. Thanks!

Thats a ton of money you are saving. Say you go to Wal-mart and buy a five pack of whatever grit of sandpaper. They are 8-12 bucks a pop.
