First attempt at St Louis ribs. Have to say they really turned out great for my first try at them. I bought the ribs with the store rub already on them. Figured why put the effort into making up my own rub if I didnt know how they were going to turn out anyway. Next time ill focus more on making my own. Also really want to try a brisket, I hear that can be a 10-12 hour cook tho haha. Not sure if im ready for that.

Glad your doing the job, but I don't know if I could handle a wastewater treatment plant!! The smell has to be so baddddd!!! You do must have some space where you can store material for a short time a plant can't run all the time not everything can be running when your repairing.
Lol you bypass if such repairs are needed.
As hard as it is to believe the smell really isnt that bad. Smells like money to me haha

DamianD, what kind of job is that? must run 7 day a week 24 hours a day.
Im a mechanic at a wastewater treatment facility, so yeah were up and running 24/7/365.
The crazy schedule is to make sure that out of the 3 employees in each department on second shift, there are always at least 2 guys on. I dont mind the schedule, its the hours Im over. Been there about a decade now I kinda expected to be a first shifter by now!!

Ready for this? I work Monday through Sunday, have off Monday & Tuesday. Then work Wednesday through Wednesday, have off Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. So 7 on 2 off, 8 on 4 off. Then the cycle repeats. So 1 weekend off a month with the exception of 2 months in the year where I get 2 weekends off.
Now to make it even more complicated, any weekday I work is 1230pm through 9pm. Then any weekend I fall on is 7am through 330pm.
Oh and you ask how I like it....... I hate it haha

Detailers Pride for the dash, door panels, etc. And Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats and steering wheel. Doesnt leave that super shinny and greasy left over feel.

I used to be a tried and true Red Wing guy. Now I buy Thorogood work boots for my daily boots. They hold up very well and are union made in the USA! I also get a discount being a Union member so that's a plus. I bought a pair of cabelas SAW boots for the insulation when our winter got brutal this year.
I used to use Red Wings, then switched to Hytest. Was easier to just order through our supplier at work then go to the Red Wing store. Interesting that you mention this Thorogood brand being a union made boot. I also am a proud Union member (Teamsters Local 107) so Ill have to check that boot brand out.

Still havent made the jump yet. Talked to a few friends who have and the biggest loop you have to jump through is getting the provider to only give you internet. They try and convince you that you cant.

I love salmon, but you should try steelhead trout on a cedar plank. Prepare it just as you would salmon, you will not be disappointed.

thanks guys, no I didnt do this myself. I thought about it but ended up going with a company called granite transformations. Ended up being a cheaper option for us and they did the work, cant beat that. Plus their products come with a lifetime warranty so that was also a no brainer. Yes they did make outlet covers also. My wife and I are extremely happy with the turnout.

Kids always seem to grow up dreaming about Lambo's and Ferraris. My dream car since I can remember has always been a 60's Camaro. Just one of those cars that always makes me drool uncontrollably.

Lost out on a job promotion to a guy who had 32 days more seniority than me. Mind you, he is no where near as qualified for the job offered. Not even close.

Has anyone decided to cut the cord on your ridiculous cable bill and go with an HD antenna? Ive been tossing around the idea of using an antenna and paying for internet only so I can use services like netflix, hulu, amazon, etc. Could probably save around $1500 - $2000 a year by doing so.

that's actually really funny considering that's a pic of an early 2000's Silverado!!! lmao
