  1. I'm a remodeler, and basically a maintenance guy for about 200 rentals. I always use my impact.. There has been almost no need for my drivers. But all bits don't fit as a home owner you need a driver as well, but I think you will be fond of the impact, quick story. 2 weeks ago I was getting moved in here. I had repainted the entire place. Trim was all stained wood. We took it to white which required about 3 coats of paint. I put my girlfriend on hardware duty. New hinges and door knobs on all doors. I gave her 12v impact with about 6 inch impact bit. They are easy for door knobs. She is total girlie girl. She later complained about the noise of the impact. I switched her to the driver, and a magnetic bit. About 5 min later I heard the impact sounding off again. I went to see. She said the other drill was wimpie. It was in top gear. I just laughed and walked away. I wondered if she could fathem how many years I spent with a crappy driver haha. It was hilarious though
  2. ah that is true. Maybe rocker switch with a 3 speed. I'm sure it will be ok. I use mine for such high torque applications I've never worried about the speed
  3. I'm gonna miss the rocker switch....Anybody know why they changed it? How do others feel about that. I liked that switch
  4. you have to wonder why they didn't use brushless Tec on the new wrenches....I know just like the new impact it will come out later and I'll have bought both....haha. This is gonna be rough. I already struggle between my 12v and 20v drill as far as which one to use because I love them both..The 12v is so powerful for the size....Which now you have to wonder will they do the 12v with a brushless motor to...Man my bank account has taken a beating this year..with all the 12v and 20v and hand tools...and impact acc...and well lets just say I needed a lot this year...they brought the new miter saw like a week after I bought the older one haha....oh well one thing is for sure.. I love and have excellent tools.....the hand tools have really tied it all together..
  5. if you zoom I'm you can see it...a little better on facebook. Looks like 12v thermometer . Anybody got a clue?
  6. thanks guys for this info.... I'll be watching facebook. I need an employee to get me one of those jackets....its on facebook come new radio.......with Bose speakers haha
  7. These things sure are awesome...especially when you see them set up like Mr yellow......but jeez I think they are over priced.. I mean the nice tool box is 25 bucks.... The XL isn't as big as some of Stanley's that are on wheels..and the 60... Plus a 200 dollar Plastic dolly. Its Mice I would need a ton of money for that though.....any thoughts
  8. Man I really want one to..I actually bought the cheapest one I could find in hopes dewalt would make one...Is there a place or site that tells there future plans...it seems the last couple of years they have been so slow to the market with tools...like the 10.8v drills...idk how but I waited. It sucked...I love them tools though...I have watched the porter cable one go on sale and I really like it...I just hope dewalts has a light and a 3amp motor to compete with rigid....please hurry or give a date. I love the bit change on porter cables...hate using an Allen wrench on mine...task force buy the way...I burnt up a dremel one
  9. Great Review. I like to use the long impact bits. They are thin and tend to be perfect foe odds and ends. I just need to remember to swith to the impact bit holder so I can break the little ones.. The long ones are pricey to break that much. I do really appreciate that review...

thanks...I searched for one, they seem a little hard to come buy...couple of bad reviews....got any insight? I also had a question for anybody...Except for a few drills I have always prefered corded tools.. Now I'm pretty vested into 20v. I bought a bare impact wrench on sale the other day so I need to get some 18vbatteries. My Lowe's has that thanksgiving drill still on sale for 100 bucks...they also have a two pack yellow top xrp battery for 100 bucks...I could get the drill and case...how much better are the xrp battery..which is the better deal?
