  1. I couldn't find an exact match for the model number DWE480X on the dewalt site but I found a DWE7480.  The X at the end means it comes with their cheaper non rolling stand.  The differences between the 480 and 745 seem to be speed and cutting capacity.

The 480 is 4800 rpm (no load)

The 745 is 3850 rpm (no load)

The 480 has a max rip to the right of the blade of 24" vs only 20" on the 745

The 480 also weighs like 3 pounds more

Idk if that helps but thats what I found!

  2. I also like the Toughbuilt bags from menards (masterforce also has clones if you prefer green). They have some kinda frame in the lid and a few sides that let they stay open for easy throw and go, bunch of sizes and at least one that has rollers if you needed to drag it for some reason. They just released new ones not long ago that have compartmentalization if you wanted to organize better (could carry your lunch in it) but those kind don't have a top/ don't zip up.

  3. Thanks bud.

The right side has B&D base cabinets but I'm thinking those will be coming out this weekend. I liked the idea of a workbench, but I really don't have a need for one IN the trailer. I'm working on a concept for that.

Nice, I'd like to see concept drawings if you have some. My first thought besides one of the portable work benches was one that slides out from against the wall and then folds down. No idea off the top of my head on how to accomplish that. Or possibly on that  folds down from that side door (i assume that's a side door), folds up flat against it when not in use.

  4. Yes online is preferred, stainless steel would be nice, I had some for a while and now run out but don't remember the brand. But the tip was slotted with a sharp tip which made easy one handed toe nailing boards. I can only get cheap pos Philips head screws which piss me off to no end, who wants to deal with stripped and broken screws all day long.

Well I only looked for like 20 min but this website seems the cheapest if you account for shipping, Free after 25$ (looked for 3" since the bigger screws are always harder to find).   http://www.rockler.com/8-square-drive-lube-finished-screws-number-8-screws  These have a bunch of sizes .  They also have stainless steel available but only up to 2 1/4.

A 50-75 piece pack of 3" screws is usually around 1lb if you want to think of it that way, so maybe slightly less than you were looking for.  If you want bulk (like 500-1000 piece boxes) I can look again for ya, most of the major hardware stores carry those, but don't offer free shipping usually. The Rockler website I linked has 700 piece packs of Kreg stainless deck screws for 110$ for reg deck screws for like 50$ but they are only 2 inches and have that weird head on them to fit in their deck jig.

Let me know if you need more research done!

U know hatter I kind thought the conductor finally posted a selfie. Sorry, but seriously that monkey is kind of creepy.

  5. Hey everyone thank for the responses. I see that they added the screw holes to the new ones, mine are all DCB101. Opening the case might be the way to go, I'll still have 2 extra chargers encase i screw something up lol.

  6. Hey I was looking for a way to mount my 20v charger to the wall instead of having it on the table.  I didn't find anything on Google so far and all I came up with was to use a piece of wood, duct tape, and the adhesive Velcro pads. This of course is not a very stable solution, but it did only take me like 10 min.  If anyone has a better/ more ascetic idea I'm all ears! Also will there be any cooling issues? I didn't cover any of the vents so I wouldn't think so since its usually flat on a table anyway.

  7. Hey, Ive been lurking around the forums for awhile. Made an account in Sept and finally felt like posting, so...HELLO!

While my current job involves almost no tool use outside of the occasional maintenance I jump at the chance to do anything with them.  Ive been into tool my whole like and I love the way the TIA crew does their videos. I'm also in Illinois so its fun to hear them talk about it occasionally.  Ive been thinking about going into one of the trades (maybe electrician) so any advice in that regards is most welcome!

You guys seem pretty cool so I hope to make some friends on here!
