  1. I'm a righty but like the blade on the left of the motor like the wormdrive saws. I knew bosch made a sidewinder with this setup but I just read a bunch of reviews on amazon and thought there were too many complaints from people about the motor burning out after a few months of regular use and also cheap build quality. Me being a bosch fan boy, this is sad news but I did find out that milwaukee also makes a left handed corded sidewinder (6391-21) that got amazing reviews so I might go with that one. Does anyone own a bosch non wormdrive that has been reliable or know of a any other good quality corded left handed sidewinders? I'm hoping these amazon reviews are inaccurate and sometimes I feel like people who review on amazon don't know a drill from an impact driver.

    Thanks

  2. Bosch needs to get a move on with newer tools.

I'm having a little guess that a brushless heavy duty drill is around the corner. Their current GSR VE2 LI is gettibg alot of free stuff with it in belgium. Ussually a sign they are clearing out stock bexause a new type is coming.

Same with their brushless compact GSR 18v-EC. The last Bosch promo folder had that tool with a bunch of free drills/bits/etc... And now we have a follow up

  3. Id buy hilti or metabo for my 18v core tools and cover everything else with milwaukee 12v. Every contractor I've worked for (6 yrs) are still using nicad dewalt and even ryobi. Nothing against my bosch 18v, but it'd be nice to own a Rolls Royce over a BMW

  4. I moved out to California from Massachusetts and the only saw I brought out here is the bosch 18v jig saw. I've used it to cut studs, metal posts, tops off 6x6 fence posts. Nothing it's really meant for, but I realized how versatile a jig saw can be (with the right blade).

  5. I've been waiting for milwaukee to release one for months. I assumed it would be a bosch or metabo style 12v trim saw, but it looks like any other cordless 18v circular saw. Does anyone know the blade size on the milwaukee? I looked at the video and a pic but I can't know for sure.

  6. Still trying to figure out the buttons on this forum. Randall I know what you mean. My boss uses whatever tool is in his reach as a hammer. I have a dewalt brushless impact driver and I keep it away from him, reason being that it doesn't have a rubber moulding on the back of it. Instead it says "brushless" on the back of it. I feel he would puncture a hole in it

  7. I lug all my crap home everyday, its a pain but tools are not cheap and I take good care of them myself... some people think I don't work cuz most of my tools look new but I explain to them if they take care of thiers the same it will too... I seen one guy barrow a power tool from somebody and was using the battery side as a hammer, I was like wtf... I like helping people when they need help but some people take that for granted...

  8. I bought a ridgid 6 1/2 in corded circular saw. I bought because it's more practical for my week day job over my skil saw worm drive. It seems a little fragile to me, but I was cutting nominal 2x4's all day with it and it's very smooth. The blade that came with it is garbage though

  9. I know what you mean bk. I started out with the bosch platform but last year I decided to get a couple dewalt 20v tools. I'm that idiot that fell for the 20v title. I bought a sawzall and grinder thinking I could get a little more runtime out of them. Now I'm torn between which oscillating tool I want more

  10. Cool. I might wait off on getting a cordless circular saw until then. I would like something small but with a lot of runtime. The one saw I own is a skil worm drive and I'm getting tired of lugging it around to job sites when I just need to make cuts into 2x or plywood.
