Hello everyone! 1BitGeeK here. And if your wondering where I get the handle from...well it's because I am 1 part computer geek. When I don't have my hands full with my three kids and beautiful wife or out gallivanting around 4x4ing I'm usually behind a computer whether it be mine or someone else's learning something or fixing something. I'm new to TIA and also new to wood working. Not completely new though, I used to work construction and before that I used to help my dad out, but that was quite some time ago. I did frame and screen in my own back patio a couple of years ago, nothing major but it looks great. I also do repairs and upgrades on my own vehicles. I recently upgraded my front and rear suspension ( coil-over shocks and leaf springs) and also replaced my gears from 3:56s to 4:11s. Now I actually can do some real 4x4ing. Not stray away to much from TIA, the reason I'm on this site is because I thought it would be cool to see what other people have to say about tools, opinions, advice and just about whatever really. Really though, I wouldn't have ended up here if Eric and Dan didn't entice me with the fact that I actually might be able to win something here, wow that's got to be a real hook, line and sinker...lol! Anyhow it's great to be part of the crew.

Considering I'm a newbie tool user, but mechanically inclined, my wife decided to get into wood working as a hobby which meant I would get into wood working as a hobby. That being said, I've recently acquired a Bosch GCM 12SD miter saw, Black and Decker 5" orbital sander, Kreg Jig K4 Pocket hole system and JackClamp system. All were reasonably priced items but I can't say the same for the Bosch GCM 12SD that was a break the bank purchase...but after using it, it was well worth it. I'm not quite done with some purchases for the year, but for the projects we want to get done they are all we'll need.
