  1. Let's not neglect the tried and true made in the red, white, and blue Klein screwdrivers!

The only problem with Klein screwdrivers are the price, they are good, but many other manufacturers have better products at lower prices. Our company issued hot screwdrivers are Klein and they are not as good as my WERA personal set, or even Milwaukees set.

  2. I noticed these at lowes origanaly for I think around $85.00, and I chose to pass at that time. I went back in a week later and they were marked down to $50.00. Of coarse I snatched them up. Other hardware stores are still selling them for $100.00. This is for the starter kit. Which includes 500 screws and the special tool for your drill. It works bot on pressure treated and that plastic wood. Anyone thinking about building a deck now or in the near future should snatch these up.

I actually used these last summer laboring for a contractor. We were putting in a deck on his new home build and the camo fasteners work great. Just make sure to take your time otherwise you can mess up and the screws will show. But the idea of the tool is a great idea, keeping a even gap on decking and shooting in a perfect angle that's hidden!

  3. I use spotify premium for 4.99 a month. I get any music I can imagine and don't need internet to listen (Once you like a song it goes into a playlist that automatically downloads) Its a great service. Then I just pair it using bluetooth so I can pick songs while I work and have phone access if needed.

  4. Correct you will not mess up your miter saw, there is only one thing that could go wrong with a smaller generator:

Just purchased a generator for a one time off-grid yurt project in the mountains requiring the use of a DeWalt 12" sliding miter saw, 15 amp. That's my biggest power tool I'll be using on this project....and since I'm mostly solo, there will be no other tools run at the same time as the miter saw. One tool at a time.

Given that I only needed a generator for this one job, and I'm on a tight budget, I didn't buy an expensive one: DuroStar DS4000S, 7HP...4000 peak watts, 3,300 rated watts. Got good reviews. Paid $300.

I've never used a generator before. Know nothing more than a couple articles I read. Figured this DuroStar would be overkill.

At 15 amp, 120V, my miter saw would need 1800 watts...and a max of 3300 according to this article http://www.toolsofthetrade.net/jobsi...generator.aspx .

Runs my smaller tools great. Even runs my 15 amp circular saw as if it were plugged in to my shop outlet. HOWEVER, when I run my miter saw, it seems to take longer for it to build up its RPMs. It just doesn't seem quite the same as when plugged in to my shop outlet.

Is this normal? Am I going to mess up my miter saw? I need to figure this out soon. Starting this project this Saturday.

    - Miter saw is a beast and uses more then the rated wattage of your generator then the generator will not be able to keep up.

(Miter saw will only consume the power it needs, so you cant have too much power going to it on a 120v circuit.) Hope this helps.

  5. Hello Travis,

I reached out to TIA on the FB page and expressed interest on getting a review sample of the new klein extreme tradesman pro bags. They have improved the design from the first version. I previously had the extreme tradesman pro bag (55417-18 ) but switched to the veto pro pack bookbag. However klein seems to have improved the designs of the bag for version 2. I would really like to get a review sample and do a writeup/video on the improvements and new features of the bag.

    Thanks,

    Jordan Mike

  6. How much are you looking to spend? They make this for cut off saws to keep the dust down. The only thing its a 159 dollars already and a wet dry vac is filter is going to get clogged fast from the fine dust. I don't think your going to want to spend the money on a dust collector vacuum with a self cleaning filter on one job. How much sawing are you going to be doing?

Most of it is done, maybe another hour of cutting and 50 ft of total cuts to make. I can't spend any money on a one time thing and a 55 gallon drum is not a option. Will a couple gallon jugs with holes in the lids work out you think?
