im thinking about the
ridge runner
http://www.gaf.com/Roofing/Residential/Products/Roof_Vents/Cobra_Ridge_Runner
or
Rigid Vent 3
http://www.gaf.com/Roofing/Residential/Products/Roof_Vents/Cobra_Rigid_Vent_3
now i just have to find a supplier where i can buy it....
GAF says HomeDepot sells it, but i really cant find that stuff their site....maybe i just have to call the hotline or so
-
yeah thats definitely a must have....i just have to buy some more shingles for the roof that i can cap it off after i installed the ridge vents.
right now the roofer used some thicker roof cappings, that might not work with the ridge vent....so i just go with the shingles
-
I used it when I redid my roof a few years ago.
it looks really easy to install....when we bought this houes we got a new roof with it but the roofer just capped it off and the hot air is stuck in the attic during the hot 100-115 degrees summer
-
thats definitely a lot how much they shrunk
-
does anyone has experience with that system?
im thinking about installing that on my roof since i have not a single attic fan...that will help cooling the house too.

( one box ) 40' of Cobra Rigid Vent3 exhaust vent replaces
18 conventional roof vents or
10 metal turbine roof vents
i think thats pretty impressive
-
agreed on that
-
im actually from yucca valley, so its a bit further then....but hey we live in the states....long distance driving is normal
sometimes we combine the drive with a shopping tour to cabazon or ontorio mills
no fee - no penalty, nothing...
-
i bought the Milgard windows / patio slider from HomeDepot - go and check them out....maybe they are available in your state too.
if im correct they also have a lifetime glass breakage warranty....doesnt matter who breaks the glass....they come out and change it out for free
-
too bad mike...that should be a reminder for next time
-
yeah i gonna make pictures during the whole installation
-
i was able to make some test cuts with the one they had on their saw at the show and i was amazed with how perpendicular the cut was.. not much deflection at all on straight cuts, definitely not as much as i expected... i did get some deflection out of it while cutting a curve but i wasnt really taking my time either.
yeah i can imagine that there is a deflection while doing a curve...but it also depends on what kinda saw you use.
-
great equipment you have there....wow and that all fits in the bag
-
i have milgard z-bar windows - so easy to install
even my 2 patio slider are from milgard with the retrofit feature....pop it in - screw it and done.

I've been eyeing that new light that ryobi came out with that Dan and Eric reviewed
yeah that light is pretty cool
-
the extension cord feature is pretty cool

here is a picture of all my free goodies from the show (minus the prybar, that baby was already in my tool bag when i took this picture!!)
the drill bits in the gray pack, to the left of the milwaukee stuff are a 4 pack of Bad dog multipurpose carbide bits.. im pretty excited to give these a try.. it was incredible what they put them through at the show and after talking with the guy long enough about them he threw me this pack to try out. https://www.baddogtools.com/tools/tools/multipurposedrillbits.html
also if you can see to the right, on the festool shop apron, there is a super long jigsaw blade, its the 10" T1044DP i never new they made a blade that long and one of the bosch guys was cool enough to toss me one of the blades they had for demo to try out http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Accessories/Pages/BoschAccessoryDetail.aspx?pid=T1044DP#specs
bunch of shirts, hats, a ton of loctite premium and powergrab and even vouchers to mail in for another free case of each of them!! also a few of the lenox arc reciprocating saw blades.. overall i thought it was a pretty good haul
wow thats a bunch of stuff John - you definitely scored at the exhibition
i wanna know if the 10" blade has any deflection because its soo long
-
im diggin it.. i have wanted a good stapler for a while now and when this one came out i knew i wanted it.. i have had a few of this style staplers in the past and they are still floating around somewhere but i never really liked them and one of them didnt take a standard t-50 staple that all my other hammer tackers and other staplers take which made it a pain to find staples for it.. I got to use this last wednesday installing a bunch of insulation for a customer and gotta say i was really digging it! It worked very well
is the trigger easy to use? my current one is so tough to use. does HD has this one in store?
-
here it would just vaporize
-
here are some of the things i got while at the JLC show a week ago.. the tape measure and pack of staples were thrown in for buying the pry bar and stapler and the can of foam was a freebie also..
ill get a picture together of all the free stuff i scored
great stuff, the milwaukee stapler is pretty cool...im going get one too
-
snatch it up man!
i have to go back anyways to return something...then ill grab the last one
-
the worm drive is @13.2 lb - did you ever checkout bosch's CS5, its left bladed and weighs just 10 lb
-
yeah everyone can need those
-
Nice score madman! you will like the GRR-Ripper did they happen to have a second one? while not necessary, they work awesome in pairs.. this way you leap frog them along the cut and you never have to stop feeding the piece through the tool with helps eliminate blade marks..
they had a 2nd one there
-
and now: how you like the bosch wormdrive ?? ?
