  1. maybe the seller doesn't know anything about power tools, it is quite obvious the shape it is in for the age it is doesn't look like it was used much. so it is for sale at that much because it looks as good as a new one.

I have a buddy that got a drill/impact kit for christmas a couple years ago from his wife he has yet to take it out of the box.......that will be another one of these type tool sales in about 15 yrs from now he will knock off and his wife will try to sell it for stupid money because he never used it.

  2. well it's been awhile since I posted some stuff I have been doing to the dust collector, this time a clear plastic bag upgrade,

I came across a 15 gallon white barrel, it was big enough coupled with the separator I have inline that it will not fill all that quickly. I figure this barrel will need emptying once for every 6 or 8 times the separator needs emptying. In my small one man shop that translates to probably 5 or 6 times a year....
I just made the bottom from 3/4" plywood I had and made a tight fit in the bottom of the dust collector housing, I then offset a hole again tight fit for the barrel. I positioned the opening just inches after the deflector inside the housing so anything coming in will have the most opening coming off the ramp and will drop instead of centering it. I made the bottom plywood sealed and screwed to housing but barrel is only tight fit with foil tape. I'd rather replace the 4 feet of foil tape a few times a year then buy bags. by the way I tested the tight fit of the barrel and foil tape by filling it with water to see how much it would hold before it let go.....and surprisingly it was a little over half So in saying that when it gets half full of fine saw dust it won't be anywhere near the weight of water. (did the water test before assembly) Sorry for the poor quality pics I almost forgot to take them.....
I put a light in behind the white barrel so I could see it's level.
all sealed up and it works good.......no more bags no more holes... here is a short video ....

Problem is comp is only certified in Milwaukee loyalty as of right now, in fact any inspector found in violation could not only have their certification of their loyalty revoked but be penalized under harsh ball busting and jokes and in extreme cases must provide tools and beer in payment of said violation

I'm picking up Bosch tools now too so it won't be long have to start selling the 35 gallons of red paint and pick up some blue....

  5.  it isn't old enough regardless if it is new in a box or not to be worth much. what it is worth is you keeping it the way it is until someone wants to pay you a crazy amount of money someday...if it was Duncan Black or alonzo Decker's first drill from 1917 new in a box then your talking some cash....

at least hang tough until Sears is completely out of business it won't be long

  6. 315 in the code stands for Diehl Mfg Co of New Jersey which was bought out by Ryobi of Japan, if it says "Made in USA" then it was prior to 1988 which that buyout happened...... hope that helps

    Craftsman Sawmill Right?

  7. ok ok so a CNC router will do much better than this, however if you don't have one yet and want to do fine detail routing such as images and such I come up with this method to make everything larger and far more easier to see. With the enlarged view, fine detail can be achieved. I am running this as a first time test to see how easy or hard it would be to follow. It is broadcasted to my 32" computer monitor ..let me know what you think......

  9. actually really like it, other than one little thing the speed control may as well be in the hard case it comes in it is like an after thought being so far away from the power button....oh and one other thing, the fan blows right in your face if you work close and are left handed, wish it could have been adjustable somehow

  10. so we have a lowes just a few feet from Home Depot, I went there this morning to price match something they have with Amazon.ca......so they say we will match it but won't take 10% more off sale price so then I whip out this picture on my phone that I took minutes before I got to the til. The girl says they only beat the price by 10% if it is local and if the price is lower by being a regular price not on sale......so I simply say where does it say all that on your big signs all over the store. as I read it if I find a lower price lowes will match it and take an additional 10% off.......she looks at the picture and proceeded to give me the 10% more off...so this little picture may help with Price Matching

  11. it doesn't take long for people to realize if a tool is good or not. When it is the brand may change something on it and they lose the appeal. I know i have an older D handle PC that just won't quit been one of my favorite routers but they don't make them the same any more so a new one is just not the same.
