  1. Or get two for next time some smartass overtightens a blade bolt =P

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N9VAARU/

Every saw I can remember dealing with used an M6 bolt (sorry I got my metric confused earlier thinking M8 was the 1/4 equivalent instead of 3/8 equivalent) with the only difference being thread direction for the blade direction. That means almost any miter saw or blade left circular saw will have interchangeable bolts.

Thanks mane! I did buy two lol
  2. That's probably the problem the stores have the right size but not one with left handed threads. You were lucky you got the remnants of the bolt out easy also :) I would have been pissed at myself and cursing if that was me :)

Yea man I was real pissed. I just got the saw and I usually don't use my impact to unscrew pieces like that. But I ignored the warning in my head smh.
  3. Ok y'all gonna be mad at me when you hear this.

I was changing the blade to my Cordless saw and I used my baby hulk impact to take the bolt off because its easier.

Only I snapped the head off the bolt!

I managed to get the rest of the screw out but I can't find the right size anywhere. I tried 3 different Lowes 4 Home Depots and a ace hardware. It seems like its the bolt isn't anything standard.

Does anybody know the bolt size? Of even a website to buy it from, cause I can't even word my question right on Google. lol [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30]

  4. Actually, I have been thinking about converting a small table saw (and take out the original motor), and set on with some tracks or something on the underside, so It could make the 18+18V circular saw slide in under. The batteries is connected on the outside. And on the saw itself is connected with two parallel wires to the battery compartment, so you can control it from the outside with start/stop/safety switch. The track itself/hinge would obviously be connected to the original adjustment for position height and angle.

But yeah, I dream makita would make something like that. But if not, I may even make it my self. [emoji14] How hard can it be, right? [emoji14] XD

You could of course make it even simpler, with just a MDF-plate or something. But that just screams cheap and homemade. ^^

Dude u should go for it. That saw good, I think I will take a crack at it. The only problem with me is that I don't own the 18+18 saw lol
  5. Dan M.....To get the ball rolling why not try some sort of group buy on a few particular tools....for instance Milwaukee has thier new M18 stand light coming out shortly, a few of us are talking about it in another thread.....maybe form some sort of Forum Catagory and have items listed there as a group buy, anyone in on the group buy would get the discount.....of course there would need to be some sort of window to work within, offer the group buy item for two weeks, once the confirmed list of buyers are gathered within the two week offering we send the money....we get our discount, the retailer is making money and we are happy campers!!....and the retailer participating would know just how much business is coming from this forum....You know when a new tool or accessoy comes out were all over it :)

    That's a really good idea!
  6. Ya you were better off then i was up until today i use to use the shity 14 oz dewilt and iv been wanting a stiletto for so long i even almost bought a wooden one not to long ago but i really wanted the sidepry plus i feel i would break the wooden one but ya its worth it to spend the money in my eyes tools specialy tools you use almost everyday isnt something you should cheap out on

Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk

Yea man I frame every once and a while. A stilleto makes a framing job like a vacation! U would break the wooden one. I broke it and had to get a replacement, and I don't frame all day long. I was pulling a nail thought it was a lil penny 8d but that sucka was like 6" [emoji17] [emoji17] that was the end lol. I'm upgrade by the end of the year tho. Thanks for sharing.
  7. A brushless recip saw is long overdue. I recall bishop saw one at world of concrete, but there's nothing else concrete about it.

I'm surprised they haven't started putting out specialty brushless tools since the cutout tool, die grinder, nibbler, shear, biscuit joiner, etc. use the angle grinder body with a special head, and the new brushless grinder looks like fundamentally the same head.

That's true! The BL angle grinder body could be used to make up quite a few tools.
