  1. I feel that you don't get much run time with a cordless but if you only use for a few mins a day then go with cordless if you need to use it over 30 mins a day I would go corded

I feel the same way. And def if the the material is more than 1 1/2 material. They eat through batteries. Prolly need a 5 or 6ah to get any good results out of cordless
  2. I have attempted to make a few videos, but realize I am just not cut out for it. It takes a lot of effort to do the work and convey it through video properly. I give the guys that can do it a lot of credit.

Yea same here. I've vfilmed myself doing work but I show no interest in explaining how to do it lol. It seems like a lot of work.
  3. I shoot small videos with my iPhone 6 plus via this super stupid easy jig I made that allows the phone to sit in place. I haven't figured out how to edit but I just bought my Wife a Mac desktop. I'm going to try and shoot my next video and edit it there and then post via my YouTube link.

Oh cool so do you plan out your projects or just film while working?
  4. I watch a lot of videos of trades; Framing, woodworking, plumbing. Mostly woodworking vids tho. I noticed there a lot of woodworkers on the forum so I was wondering do you guys make videos? If so give is your link to YouTube or share your videos with please!

  5. You will never be without one again! I don't know if you quote jobs but they always impress homeowners at the initial meet and measure. I let them know it prevents me from having to slide a tape measure around their walls and floors and possibly scratching something and right off the bat they know I care about their home and my work..

Isn't it so true about never being satisfied.. it's such a bad thing...

No with that being said, screw the glm100 and go straight for the stabila ld520 or the Leica d810!!! I love how they have the view finder camera with cross hairs so you don't have to be able to see the laser dot to know where your measuring.. sometimes outside that can be a pain.

I think I would have a hard time ponying up that much cash for one though..

So I googled that leica d810 and it is lovely. That horizontal feature is genius. But my goodness that thing is almost pushing a grand. Jeez I'm scared of myself because I'm actually thinking about saving for it.
