Still months of waiting !
Anything specific you are waiting for Petro ?

No idea about the thread but welcome back then ?

They are a company and like any company their aim is still making the most profit.
They do keep themselves to a high standard tho. Dont want to bash that !
But as AVE's in depth teardown of the plunge saw TS55 has shown us even festool takes the cheaper way sometimes to cut down on production costs.
But thats true for every thing in the world these days i think.

Yeah
rpm's agent the highedt. But the push drive is a real Nice feature

Japanese companies seem to completly fail at marketing imo

It's not out in belgium yet unfortunatly so i haven't been able to get my hands on it but it seems like an awesome saw i really would like to try out !

I can't recommend this tool.
I was very disappointed to learn it is only meant for left handed use.
I got used to using my left hand but after a bunch of screws the battery died and I had to throw it out and use the spare it came with. I plugged in that little black radio it came with it only plays music with you put the dead battery on it, and it only plays a few seconds of some crappy song. I threw out the radio too.
Got 1/2 the basement boarded before the back-up battery died too.
I drove to Home Depot and bought 2 more batteries for $149.
Both batteries were no good by the time I finished boarding the basement. I was pretty disappointed. What's the point of a cordless tool if I have to spend $300 for batteries on every basement?
I would recommend a good old fashioned screwdriver for putting up drywall, it's way cheaper than buying all those expensive Makita batteries. What a scam, they sell you the tool for $179 but the don't mention how expensive the disposable batteries are!

And you only get like 4 channels on the radio anyway ! Waste of money !

Owww OK. Those just quite recently starter popping up in belgium. Mainly electricians.
Thanks Jason !

Maybe a big disclaimer on top would have helped: " this is only based on tools we have personally tried " would have helped a bit.
Now it does look like an overal 'best of'
Whats a Robertson screw btw? Never years of that !

No need for detail. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion of course !
OP asked for info on Rotary hammers and i provided my opinion backed up with some reviews

Very interesting read by the way. Unfortunatly its near impossible to test durability in between tools but i think we can al agree a hilti would win a durability comparison.
-
Yup i clicked that icon on my cellphone when trying to click the message to edit because of spelling mistakes...
Anyway, you are repeating what i have said: you buy a hilti for durability.
Not for performance.
-
Whats the difference between a shop vac and a dust extractor then ? They are both vacuüm Cleaners no ?
-
You buy hilti for the durability. Not anymore for the performance. Performance / weight/ antivibe wise other Brands have been ahead of hilti for some time.

Isnt like 70% of hilti Rotary internals from Bosch anyway ? Just what ive heard
-
Nice buy, at the FIre a department we use Husqavarna saws. Funny we call them either a K12 or a Partners saw even though those are other brands. Really awesome saw but those things are beasts.

Here in belgium Milwaukee gives torque specs both for a compact battery and for a big battery

I wish i had a powertool / battery engineer living next to me ! so many questions !

Are you saying the circular saw ( a tool designed when 4 and 5 amp batteries where the norm ) will gain in power when you put a 9 amp on it ?
Or do you mean that a newer and bigger circulzr saw could be made to take advantage of the 9 amp batteries ?
Option 1 doesnt seem logical. Option 2 does
-
I own the xdt09 and the speed is an issue when driving into hardwoods with Phillips screws. It will cam out the screw every time. I live the driver but it doesn't not absolutely beat the Milwaukee. They are pretty equal in my opinion

Aha ! Have you tried changing bits/bitholder? Wiha and Bosch both make bits with a special coating to reduce cam out effect which is inherent in the Philips design.
Combining those bits with a torque controlling bit holder
( ive got mine from Felo)
That combination will solve alot if not all of impact driver problem of camming out/stripping screw heads
-
No you really cannot debate it.
You have to try reaaal hard to find a real life situation where the Milwaukee out does the Makita.
The situations where that 'max torque' comes into play can be counted on 1 hand.
And for 95% of impact driver use the better speed will count.

It was good but didnt meet up to my very very high expectations.
Rushed characters, some story items re hashed from the older Movies. Small inconsitencies ( nit picking here ! )
But thats me having stupidly high expectations![:)](//toolsinaction.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/emoticons/default_smile.png)
