  1. The DHS680 Ain't available yet here.  It's been announced but there's always a few good months between announcing a tool and actual release :)

If i had to make an educated guess we'll see the new Brushless Circ Saw in Belgium by February.  That's just in time for Makita's new " Promo Catalog" here in Belgium =)

The jigsaw and new impact totally kick ass tho =D    And I'll receive the first shipment of the Brushless Angle grinder  for sale in 2-3  weeks. Can't wait !!

  2. Barrel grip anytime.

Altho the top handle grip is used alot more in Belgium.  But if we get a new customer in our store and e let them try out the 2 different handles they'll almost always prefer the Barrel grip.

Much more control over the Jigsaw and works better upside down.

The new 18V Barrel grip Brushless jigsaw by Makita has sold very wel already :)

  3. Like always it depends on the tools you use. ( Drill driver / impact ain't power hungry   while a circ saw, recip saw, grinder are very power hungry )

I do suppose it also depends on the charging speed of your brands charger.   Makita's 4.0 amps charge fully in 40 minutes tops so for most applications you'll not be able to drain 1 battery before the second battery is topped up on the charger.

There's also a thing like too much batteries.  If you have too many and some of them don't see frequent use they'll start losing performance from age and laying around.

Batteries are in best condition if used ( discharging and charging again ) regularly.

Home user myself and I get by with 2 x  4.0 Amps for the Makita Drill driver / rotary hammer / Recip saw

And I got 2  1.5 amp batteries for the radio / fan / vacuum / heatable jacket.

  4. Funny thing it is :)  Only costs 29 euro's in Belgium and you get them free with a bunch of tools at the moment.

AC adapter included and the Battery adapter will fit all 1.5 amp or more batteries.

Washable micro filter to put the coffee powder in =)

Drains batteries like a motherf.... tho =D

  5. It was about time they woke up :)   Being the first to bring Brushless tools to the market ( impact drivers in 2009 ) they have let milwaukee take the crown. Ah well competition is good for the innovation as we can see :)

I guess we can be lucky that in Belgium Milwaukee is pretty much non existant.  Makita has been market leader here for cordless tools since 2005 when they brought out 18V lithium  and we're spoiled in Belgium by always getting new stuff from Makita quite quick :)

  6. Hahah unfortunatly  I dont know anymore yet =)  Hard enough to communicate with those japanese people :D

When we were checking our makita collection  in the store  I told them wich tools arent received well by the customers and when i said the 18V recipro was underpowered he immediatly told me a brushless one is in the making.  All i know =)

But seeing how well the latest Brushless offerings by makita perform ( DHP481 Hammer drill,  DJV181 Jigsaw, DGA504 Angle grinder, DTD148 Impact  and the upcoming DHS680  Circ saw ) i'm pretty confident it'll be a beast.  =)

Makita seems to have woken up !

  7. No we have skill and green Bosch here in europe.

Green bosch is promoted as the " do it yourself" line for people at home.

Skill they position inbetween green and blue bosch.   But it sells like crap here because of a bad name to the brand over here.

  8. Brushless Reciprocating saw is confirmed to me by the european Makita Director :)

It's in the works. could be in a few months because Makita Belgium is selling out their Currect BJR181 reciprocating saw by giving free batteries extra with it.  Ussually always the sign that the next ' Makita Action Magazine' will have the new brushless model.

    :)
