  1. What is up with these phones that are becoming the size of Tablets, you could literally replace your T.V with your phone. Mount it up, pull up a couch and drink a cold one.

One of my guys has this phone that is like 12 inches long and 4 or 5 inches wide, think it was a Samsung. He needs an over sized pocket for that thing. Way to big for me, I like my 3 inch by 4 inch phone that fits in my pocket just fine.

  2. Of course I'm going to pay the bill but, don't you just hate it? Their is another tool you wanna buy but its that time of the month to pay the bills. Darn it, and I wanted to get a Table Saw lol...

Right now my head is saying, "Its ok, you can pay next week" which we all know is b/s. Cause when next week comes their is something else you'll wanna buy.

  3. Hey man, I don't mean to make you doubt your purchase but I just yesterday heard about this new laser from bosch.. it's a 360 with a second cross line beam for only $250!!

I figured I should at least mention It to you and you could look into the details and make your decision. I don't know anything about it other than that's a killer price for a 360 laser..

You can always return yours to depot

Oh man...that'll be on my mind over the weekend now and I'll prolly end up returning mine and getting that. Thanks for the heads up, I shall check this out.

  4. Its prolly one of my only fears but, I dread the day when my vehicle gets broken into and everything I own gets cleaned out. Sadly this happened to one of my co-workers, he lives in a rough area and his truck has poor locks so he got robbed. One of our Carpenters got robbed while on the job!! How crazy is that...how can people steal another person's livelihood, possibly jeopardizing their job since they have no tools and can't do the work unless the tools he needs are provided. Makes me sad...

I wish their was some kind of insurance I could get for what I own, I would probably get it since I'm so invested.

  5. Yea, when I brought it into work the guys just rolled their eyes. Saying "Another tool?!" What can I do/say.....I like buying tools that will make my life easier. This week I plan on buying the Dewalt DW745 and they'll say, "We have a table saw we can bring you to the jobsite, you shouldn't be buying these tools." They're full of it honestly lol...most times when I end up needing a table saw or any tool in general cause something comes up. One isn't there and its annoying. I'm solving my own dilemma, they can reimburse if they want. I'mma dedicated employee here ^^

Other logic is that I'm starting to do a bunch of side work for clients that I met through working with homeowners, investing in my future =)

  6. sad story but true......ran into a guy I went to school with the other day and we talked for awhile over coffee.....asked the typical bullshit questions about this and that....ect ect.....now here is were I get to my point.....

he looked worn, clothes were dirty and he looked like he just climbed out of a ditch........he wasn't working and was trying to get a place to live....about 15 minutes in the chat he says you wouldn't have 20 bucks I can get off of you? I knew back in the day he had alcohol problems and his wife left him a few years ago.....it looks like he hasn't got any better........I ask him for what? he says some food.........I say ok let's go I buy lunch.......I could tell he may have needed to eat but he wanted the money for something else........anyway back to my point.......I may spend money on tools because of my addiction to tools and I know there are many people with other addictions like alcohol and worse but at least I can go downstairs to my shop and see my addiction........and it is still worth some sort of % of what it cost me.......

The last two sentences are so true, I am sorry for your friend. I've had friends who are lost in the alcohol and their is nothing I can do I feel, my wife has a sister who is 31 years old. Is living at her parents place and binges, dates pieces of crap guys who beat her and I fear one day she will be homeless. Which at that point I've talked to my wife about letting her stay with us and we'll get her into rehab somehow.

  7. Your brain out of nowhere tells you "You don't have this, you need this. Buy it, now."

I only need a few more tools before I'll be content I think...

Tools I'd like to get to finish the collection is

    -Dewalt Compact Table Saw

    -Dewalt Compact Table Saw Stand

    -Dewalt 20v Right Angle Drill

    -Dewalt 20v Hammer Drill

-Dewalt 20v Finish Nailers 16g/18g (Hoping they come out soon)

  8. I miss the days where you could go to any hardware store and say "I need a spare key" and they would say "No problem!" Now a days I get, "Oh we can't do that, that's a ""special type of key""" that only the dealer can make or a locksmith possibly" Who will then charge you an arm and a leg for a spare. I just want a spare just in case, 2 or 3. These newer vehicles coming out with their electronic keys can kiss my you know what, seems like any model of vehicle from 2k to now requires you to go to the dealer for a spare.

    Done ranting, thanks guys.

  9. The irony, you're out in CA trimming trees in shorts and t-shirt probably enjoying 60 degree weather and I'm here freezing my you know what off. I hate the cold, I just started laughing when I read "I dedicated my day to all tree trimming and yard work cus I've been neglecting my front and yard badly and as I'm finishing up the front blowing all the trash and grass" Grass haha, I won't be seeing that till April.

This morning was so cold it instantly hurt when I stepped out the door and I don't even live in the northern states like Maine. I don't even want to think about how cold it is in Canada, do you guys even work in the Winter outside? If I had to work in - degree weather, I'd be wearing some kind of heat suit.

  10. The place I have been using is local, been getting material from this company primarily since I started working. Just now a days the quality seems to be going downhill sadly. I dont even bother ordering material from HD or Lowes.

  11. Been using it all week cleaning up after myself, I really like it. Suction seems fine for what I've been doing, sucking up sawdust, concrete debree. Only thing it won't pick up are nails or screws or objects larger than the mouth of the hose. Cleaned out my vehicle with it as well which was long overdue.

  12. Seems like its getting harder and harder to find good material and workers at the lumber yard who care, so much lumber I get delivered is so warped and twisted to crap its sad. Only time I get good material is when I go myself lol....

  13. So I've managed to resist the temptation of buying the Dewalt cordless 16g nailer thus far but damn it. That itch is getting stronger, I don't even need one yet. Won't be trimming the houses I'm currently working on for at least another 2 months. I just want it but, its 2015!! Where is that 20v darn it!!! I'm a toolaholic, once the itch develops I gotta have it lol...I'm pretty sure Dewalt is going to release a 20v version this year but the waiting is killing me. I know that the odds are after buying one Dewalt will release the updated version the following week or something.

One sad thought is that when the 20v finish nailer does finally come out, it might just suck and its predecessor will still be 10x better so I should of got it all along.

    Venting done, thanks guys.
