  1. From research I've done, the Dewalt cordless seems to be the best. With Paslode you have the additional cost of the fuel cells and the fumes so with that in mind. I lean towards Dewalt. I have also played around with a Paslode that a fellow carpenter friend of mine owns but even he says that I should buy a Dewalt if I'm going for a cordless trim gun.
  2. Now that's something I've never seen before, lol. She has some nice control over those ta ta's.
  3. Why are the motors on the right hand side? Most if not all the corded circular saw motors are on the left, it drives me nuts. Most people are right handed so they rest the motor on their material while following the cut line which makes the cut more natural and true and easier, but since the motor is on the right your having it float in the air causing your cut to sometimes have an angle to it. It just feels awkward and unnatural, at least for me. I haven't bothered to call any of the companies, mine being Dewalt to ask if they can make one with the motor on the left hand side. If their is one out there I haven't seen it yet. I don't understand why they produced it this way.
  4. Here's to hoping for a release some time in 2015
  5. So I emailed Dewalt about a 20v Finish Nailer and this is what they told me... Hi Robert, Thank you for contacting us. We are in the process of expanding our 20v product line however at this time we do not have a definite date as to when a 20v finish nailer will be introduced. In case this email does not fully answer your question, or you would like to contact us for any reason, simply reply to this email. Thank you, Jeffrey DEWALT Customer Care Visit us online at http://www.dewalt.com ref:_00D80MUtZ._500C0i3J9K:ref I may give in and go ahead and purchase the 18v version for now.
  6. Thanks a lot, glad to be here. These pictures are only a few that I captured over the course of this past year, from these pictures are 5 jobs that are complete. I get moved around a lot within my company, I can be doing some trim on one home and then be called to go over to the next home to do some doors or install cabinets...etc etc. I work with a skilled team of Carpenters (when I say team I mean 3 others) thankfully who have taught me their tricks over the years. I started working for my Father's company when I was 13 years old, I'm now 30. I'll post some more pictures in the future, currently doing some foundation work in the cold. I hate the cold...
  7. Since I'm new here, thought I would share a few things I've worked on this past year.
  8. The design of the battery isn't, I don't know about the design of the tool. Can't find information anywhere =(
  9. Yea definitely, thanks for the response. I keep on looking back at that 18v 16 gauge nailer tempting me, saying buy me when I know I should go ahead and wait. C'mon Dewalt!
  10. I am torn, I really want to get the DC618K 18V Cordless XRP™ 1-1/4" - 2-1/2" 16 Gauge 20° Angled Finish Nailer Kit. However, I am already invested in a good majority of the 20v tool line. I can't find information on whether or not Dewalt is working on a 20v Finish/Trim gun line up and if they are when are they coming out? So, wondering if I should just go ahead and invest in the DC618k or wait for the 20v's. What would you all do? I don't really need it asap, I would just love the convenience of having a Cordless Trim gun since I have gotten used to lugging around the Dewalt cordless Framing Nailer, really nice not having to get the compressor out and air hose for small jobs or punch list work.
  11. Wishing for a Dewalt 20 volt 16 Gauge Finish Nailer
