  1. I remember doing that, hated it with a passion, dad made my brother and I hand nail the metal cap nails in the base roll. That was before we switched to epdm, no more fire hazard, and we never did another mod bit job after. Best thing we ever did, and the insurance company liked it better too.

What sorts of roofing material you install?

I love torching lol and we put down a 2 ply torch down so we nail down a fire bored and torch a bass and then a cap makes for a bullet proof roof

  3. Okay this is kind of a stupid question but i never asked and always wonder plus i dont use drills everyday just nail guns but on a drill driver or hammer drill driver the clutchs settings 1 to 25 or what ever whats the rank of torque is 1 being the highest or 21 or 25 being the highest?

  4. I almost went with the 18 x 2 but went with the brushless instead. I don't think you will go wrong with either one man.

I love the idea of the 2x18 circ saw only reason i went 6.5 and brushless is because blades left i use warmdrives all day and im use to blade left i dont like sidewinders plus i wanted a lighter smaller option then having to pull out my heavy cordrd warmdrive for a few cuts when i do stuff at home and the 6.5 brushless circ saw from makita is basically a smaller warmdrive wen it comes to power

  5. Nice score Toronto, I got the Makita 36 volt 7 1/4" and love it, but would love to pick up that 6 1/2" as a tool only to add to my arsenal.. Let us know what you think when you try it out. I like the Occidental as well, I have the Dead On 3" belt and it's super comfortable..

Ya i just got the saw as a bare tool because i alresdy have 3 4.o batterys and ya once i let'er lose il give a report

  6. Any idea if this was a Fuel product or just a bigger version of the brushed version they have here in the UK?

I was planning on buying the current cordless version in the next few months but if there is a larger brushless version on the horizon I may just wait.

It says in the write up fuel so id think its fuel but they dont give much info on anything yet

Ya the saw feels real nice cant wait to cut some wood with it but i like how light it is and how it feel in my hand real nice and im happy to not have to pull out the heavy corded warmdrive for a one or 2 cuts for around the house lol

  9. that's great time will tell to see what they come out with....

Oh ya hopefully makita wont be to far off i mean i know they did have a gas cordless framer just like the passlode but id be excited to see how they come after milwaukee brings some nailer heat to the table in my mind milwaukee and makita are kinda revile companys and both bring major tools to the maket but i will have to send some shout outs to dewalt for starting this cordless nailer tread

Hope its a good competition against the dewalt and the paslode now im not a fan of the dewalt cordless framing nailer so im curious to see how milwaukee comes up with therr own framer but iv only heard good things about the dewalt cordless finish nailer and i know i like the ryobi finish nail even if its a little big anyway this is awsome news no pics yet

  11. This statement is garbage. The cordless dewalt saw is the best brushed unit around and still a very capable unit. Same with the Bosch.

The Dewalt lightweight (high-power) 7-1/4" circular saw is all anyone recommended around here for a while.

Well to me and and coming from a production framing stand point where im making easily over 2000 cuts a day 5 to 6 days aweek that dewalt circ saws are garbage really only wormdrives can make the cut except for milwaukee and makita brushless saws and even them being blade left 6.5s we dont use no stupid saw horses we cut the wood off are feet we dont use miter saws or tracksaws we cut miters and bevels all with a wormdrive not ajusting the shoe just twisting the machine its self and i can say iv seen a lot of dewalt tools fail on the feild and i can say i know a lot of pro framers young and old who will say dewalt circ saws are junk sorry if this rubs you the wrong way but thats how it is

  13. I thought you already had the Makita cordless. You are gonna love it. My only complaint is the ruler or gauge on the front is plastic and I have got it caught before and almost snapped it off. Pretty petty really if that's the only complaint I have! You gotta get it bro.
