  4. The battery gauges sure help! And you're right, with the BL grinder and circ saw Makita have brought their lineup right back to the top with Milwaukee. I would also add that they don't match the compact drills of the other top brands, which is probably my most used tool.

I have Makita & Milwaukee pretty much tied at the moment (on my comparison spreadsheet).

Your absolutely right on the compact point milwaukee has that aspect in the bag for me not a big deal i like big beefy tools but for someone who has there drill at there hip like electricians or hvac guys milwaukee is the way to go for now we will see what makita has in the future on that but as far as compact goes makita has there td148 impact witch is smaller then any impact and more powerful witch meany people forget or dont know about

  5. And as long as we can all agree Makita cordless recip sucks !

Which is funny because their corded one can give a sawzall a run for its money :)

Oh ya the corded avt is amazing i know a few framers who made the switch from.super sawzall to makitas avt and havnt looked back

  6. of course, i was just debating also. but you were picking out only Makita's strengths whilst not mentioning their weaknesses :)

for instance if someone uses a cordless recip saw all day, they would do well to avoid Makita, and probably should go Milwaukee. Whereas if a grinder is your most important, then Makita, Milwaukee or Metabo would all be worth a good look.

Yes I think the FUEL 6.5" is a touch better than Makita's, but they're both amazing. Its not what I would base my platform choice on.

Yes you are right.makita and cordless sawzalls =craptastic and the milwaukee fuel is forsure undoubtedly top dog and i am not a person who sticks to one battery platform and the fuel sawzall is in my sites lol and i think for there fuel.gen 2 sawzall they should add the 360 feature but we will see if makita will come out with a contender on the 18v sawzall market lol and to be honest yes i was focusing on there strenghs but makitas only weak points (tools) i would say is there recip saw and maybe there cordless impact wrench i know milwaukee crushes them on those 2 tools but i cant really think about any other weak points oh.and maybe fuel gauges but they fixed that.now

  7. not only is that debatable, but its very dependent on what tools are most important to each particular person and/or trade.

I made this spreadsheet a while back to help people determine (by the numbers) which platform is best suited to you :)

    http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/6700-which-18v-brandplatform-is-best-you-for-try-this-calculator/

Everything is up for debate and i also said thru out that statement that its "in my eyes" but at the same time makita has a lot of one ups on milwaukee and milwaukee has yet to surpass makitas impact and makitas hammer drill driver plus makitas charge times are better and makita circ saw and milwaukees circ saw are so close but makita is smoother and they dont have the gaurd issue that milwaukee has plus a lot of people say makita is more powerful and i know you dont think that but thats you so end of the day yes its all up for debate and everybodys got there own opinion on whats whats and im.not knocking milwaukee because i do run milwaukee at work because thats what my.boss runs but "in my opinion" I think makita is top dog.

  8. . Congrats on the new hammer Tman looks slick I have a estwing that I really like, I can imagine for someone like u that uses most of the day this hammer gonna save ur arm bro.

Ya everybody says that swinging these hammers save your elbows like crazy and swinging estwings pretty much destroys your elbow if your swinging everyday that is

Ya well everybody on the framing crew i work for uses stiletto so that really pushed me to spend the cash and get one i mean i do use a hammer every day

  11. Whoop! Whoop! Congrats man. Ima be like u when I grow up, I have a wood handle 16 oz stilleto right now. But it sucks for pulling nails.

Ya you were better off then i was up until today i use to use the shity 14 oz dewilt and iv been wanting a stiletto for so long i even almost bought a wooden one not to long ago but i really wanted the sidepry plus i feel i would break the wooden one but ya its worth it to spend the money in my eyes tools specialy tools you use almost everyday isnt something you should cheap out on

  12. Wow, I bet that cost a pretty penny. Waaay more hammer than I'd ever need but that doesn't stop me from lusting after that beaut

It cost 242 all in but not for something that i use everyday and will last me for a good amount of years but the sidenail pull it the real bonus on this hammer plus how it swings

  13. Probably. But why not compare the best vs the best? :D The 18+18v is probably makitas biggest strength (in my eyes anyway). At least until the others follow the same route. Some tools just really benefit with more power, and doesn't have big problems with 500 gram extra.

In my eye the 6 1/2 is better its brushless has as much if not more power the any other circ saw it can keep up to a worm drive its one of makita flags ships for sure more so then the 2x 18v circ saw plus the 2x 18v circ saw is a sidewinder and the 6 1/2 is blade left soo in my eye so much better and makita hammer drill driver and the TD148 impact are pretty much un matched by any other hammer drill driver or impact on the market makita is definitely top dog

  14. Yeah I just recently caught wind of the Makita Hypoid Saws. They look pretty good, I'm gonna check out some reviews on them. I know that AvE dude on YouTube took that saw apart.

Ya i seen that one and he really didnt have anything bad to say about it lol iv heard really great things about the makita hypoid but the skilsaw mag 77 is a great saw no doubt about it

  15. That picture of the saws and nail guns is nice. There is just something about nice organized tools that catches my eye.

Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk

Oh ya the difference between a pro and a shoe maker right there everything has a place and goes back to it and guns are oiled right befoe you pull em out the trailor
