Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're transporting it in the back of a truck. And,for the cost, honestly I wouldn't buy more than one. Tough System is much better, for sure.

Anyone know what happened to DeWalt's line of belt sanders? I've been looking for a decent DW432 or DW433 for a while, but I can't seem to find anything new, and the used ones I find are trashed... Any ideas?

I've tried DeWalt's parts site, and can't find anything. Though, it is exceptionally possible I'm not searching for the right keywords, or something. Same with eBay. I'm keeping my eyes open. Buying different cases, and customizing with Kaizen foam had occurred to me, but the cost is actually pretty close to just buying the sets...

It's so funny you ask about the black and yellow song... My friends and I have a running joke, that when I build a new garage workshop, I'm going to put a trigger sensor on the door, set to play the line from that song "Black and yellow! Black and yellow! Black and yellow! Black and yellow!" And, I definitely hear you on never being done. This trailer (5'x10' enclosed V-Nose, customized to 6.5' height) is my third "tool space". Sadly I had to give up my workshop in my basement, when I renovated it to add a theater room, and bathroom for the wife and kids. I'll get pics up as soon as I can get something done. But, I just had knee surgery, so I'm gimped for a while. It's slow goings, haha.

So, I'm hoping to find someone with the individual sets of the DeWalt mechanics tools that wouldn't mind maybe selling me the cases. I have all the tools, but I bought them all as one large set, in a single large kit box... The thing is great, but horribly unwieldy. I really don't want to have to repurchase all of the tools, just to get the cases. Especially since the individual sets are so much more expensive than the whole set. Or, if anyone knows how i could order the cases, direct from DeWalt, that would be ideal. I've been searching for days, and no luck. And, nobody carries them, locally. I'll include a pic of one of the sets, for reference.

Hey. I'm new here. Obviously, my name is Mike. I'm a full blown DeWalt addict. I'd offer the standard addict line: "I can stop whenever I want", but honestly, I'm almost positive I can't. Just take my money, DeWalt. Take it. I'm currently in the process of building out my new custom tool trailer. I'll update with photos when I get further along. My wife's best friend is the manager of the tool department, at my local Lowe's, and she says that there isn't anything really happening for DeWalt expanding their presence on the shelves of Lowe's. I actually spoke with their DeWalt rep a few weeks back, when I bought my 40v string trimmer. He said a lot of the non-powered DeWalt stuff (hand tools, and whatnot) is Home Depot exclusive in my region (New England). I know some stores in the midwest have a huge DeWalt selection (Like Bomgaar's). But, the "excuse" I was given, as to why they aren't pushing for more DeWalt, is because they have better profit margins with stuff like their Kobalt line. Not sure how true that is, though. I'll keep bugging her about any insider stuff she might know about, and update when/if I have anything interesting.

I have one. I really like it for storing my safety gear (goggles, knee pads, gloves, etc.)... The way it opens makes it not super ideal for constant opening and closing, which is why I use it for the safety gear. Not a lot of need to get at that stuff very often, after you get what you need. I imagine it would be good for electricians, though. Seems a good way to lug around stuff one might need for wiring, and what not. And having it opened up, while working, seems logical and quite handy, in that situation. All-in-all, Id say it's a bit of a niche item. But, very useful in the right situation. Pretty durable, in my experience.
