Wow...great deal if they have them in the stores. My local HD hardly ever has any decent clearance stuff out.

That's great!

They're a little expensive but huge time savers when you're using PEX to re-plumb a house.
A friend of mine has a vacation house in Millinocket Maine that is used mainly for snowmobiling. 2 years ago, the town lost power for a couple of days and the house froze up splitting every piece of copper.
We went up there and replumbed the entire house using PEX and Sharkbites and had it completed in a day. If we went the traditional route of using copper with standard fittings it would have taken a week. Having the ability to do a run from the basement to the 2nd floor bathroom with no breaks in the line is a huge advantage.
Because of what happened we developed a 5 minute process to drain the house once they leave so this doesn't happen again.

I'm a tool user, I take care of all my stuff just for the fact that this stuff isn't cheap and I don'' think anyone can justify replacing an item due too neglect and abuse.
Also, I hate to grab something out of the box when going to work on something and have it covered in grease and dirt.

Awesome...Tony Stark has nothing on him.

Nice progress and good luck!

There's also new laminate/click style options that give the option of a stone finish. A friend of mine just put some down in a bathroom and his dining room and it looks pretty good. Installation was quick and easy as well.

I purchased the $100 version at HD about 8 years ago. I thought I was only going to use it once for a tile project in my bathroom. I've actually used it about 10 times for various projects. It works great as long as you go slow.

That's a butt clincher.
Knowing you're in trouble and then realizing there's nothing you can do to stop the laws of physics.

Man U got some skills bro everything came out nice!! I use work for a company called Morrison hope roofing I was part of the tear down crew man that job sucked don't miss it at all..
Honestly, I don't know how people do it for a living. The garage wasn't that big, but after stripping 3 layers of old roofing, pulling the nails and then humping everything back up on the roof I was ready to call somebody to finish the job.
And we still had to do the cleanup on the ground.
Nice work, gotta love a 2car garage man
There are definitely a lot of advantages on having it detached from the house. It gives you the freedom of making as much noise and mess as you want without the worry of disturbing anyone or tracking it into the house.,

Dude nice set up! Can't wait for a garage!
That needs to be your #1 priority in life.

For the price point of $600 and the size it's a great value. Once I sold my other 3 boxes for $265, I only had to come up with about $350, so that made it a little bit easier when I went to buy it. I compared it to the 44" at HF and that box is only a little better in it's construction for the same price.

Thanks for the comments on the vise.
The lettering wasn't bad too do. I just bought a small foam roller and some white paint and just went across the letters. Any mistakes I made I just touched them up with an acid brush.
The Sawzall was so cheap because at the time of purchase it wasn't functioning. I took a gamble and bought it anyway. I took the handle apart and found that the trigger and relay was caked in drywall dust. I blew everything out and it came back to life. The case itself was worth $10.

Really nice score, I love how you cleaned that vice up.
I've never had a lot of luck at garage sales, but then again I probably have not tried enough. I know my father in law tells me all the time the tools he sees at auctions.
Love the stereo, you've gotta have good audio in the shop. I have a really nice set up myself, I love having some music going while I'm working. I am hoping to find some time this weekend to do a little tour for TIA in my garage and I'll show you guys my stereo set up.
I seem to be at a 40% success rate when I go to them, Do doubt that I come across more sales of clothing and household items. I've started looking for the ad's that mention, "Moving, Estate, Retired" to have the best luck.
The stereo was a score. Previous to that I had an old receiver from when I was a teenager in there.

As a person who is quickly getting to the demographic of "Middle Aged". I'm becoming more interested in going into Garage Sales to see what I can find to use in the shop. This is a strange turn of events since in the past I couldn't have been bothered with them. However, I've had very good luck finding some good items for not that much money.
Typically I find myself looking for the older American made hand tools as they seem to be of better construction without some of the current hype of today's offerings. Here's a couple of items I've picked up in recent weeks.
Columbian 504 Vise - Found it hiding in a corner begging for some attention. After some time with the wire wheels and a little bit of paint. It was brought back to it's former glory
Price $10.00
Ok - Not a tool, but it did bring some much needed audio to the Garage. Sony 5.1 with powered sub
Price $20.00

I'll chime in.
Initially I started on the Bosch 12V compact line which I absolutely love. I have the Impact, Drill and the Pocket Driver. It's great to have the 3 tools to setup for different tasks and not worry about changing bits.
When I wanted something with more power, I decided to go with the 20V Porter Cable 20V Max series. The impact is an absolute beast for what it is. I've recently picked up the Oscillating tool, 1/2" Drill and the flashlight and I couldn't be happier. For the price point and the performance, I'm happy with them.

That is a nice looking toolbox!! You still have a bunch of room to fill it up with more tools though!!!
Thanks! I'm doing my best without upsetting the banker of the house.

Hi everyone. Just signed up today and figured I would add some of examples of what I've done around the house.
I live up in the Northeast and our home is a 2 story colonial with a detached 24x24 2 bay garage. House was built in 1912, so needless to say we have had a lot of projects to kee us busy. My wife and I have done a lot of the work on our home to save on labor costs. We sided and replaced the roof on the garage last year and for the summer were currently replacing all of the windows.
This was when the siding was completed. I still needed to paint the doors and do the coil trim work around the door. I forgot to take a pic of that.

After coming across the YouTube channel about 2 years ago, I've become a big fan of the content and information. Great channel and entertaining as well.
I hesitated to join another forum since It seems I'm a member of too many, but I think I'm going to enjoy this one more than the others.

My Box - Husky 52" Tool Cabinet

Grab the Milwaukee over the Craftsman. Take a good look at the construction and you will see that Craftsman has really dropped off the cliff when it comes to the construction and it's price point.
The Milwaukee is a nice box. The only thing I don't like about it was the drawer configuration, not enough shallow drawers for what I do. Also it only comes in a 44", if it came in a 52" I would probably be all over it.
