This is very cool. I have been thinking about getting lights like this and put around my front porch to light up the fenced in yard. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Ok I just had another thought. What about a cordless porta power? I was reading the articles on tia site about the Milwaukee pro pex. It said it puts out 10 tons of hydrolic power so I wonder if they could come up with something to power a 10 ton ram?

Oh you aren't telling me anything new. That is one heavy, awkward , no power impact. It just got a new battery though. Haha. I would like to see them trade in the grease gun fleet to but that's not going to happen. They just get sent off and repaired (cleaned). And yes we put tools to the test here.

Yes it is a 96 so it has the 7.3 powerstroke. I had this when we were just renting a house and had no garage. Now that I have a garage I've been getting shop tools. The welder is older just has new paint on the sheet metal, still runs good.

Glad to hear you like it. I have the old style of radio that doesn't take the batteries that these new tools come with. I really don't want to buy a battery for it so it stays in the shop. It would be nice to have a mobile radio instead of ear muffs work tunes. The price is reasonable anyway. But I still have my eyes on that new stand light haha.

Nice tools man. When it comes to me buying tools I can get carried away. When I order tools off Amazon I can't just buy one haha. I say well if I buy this I have to buy this.

Thanks guys. I love the setup too. The welder is pretty heavy but it does have a built in air pac. Not sure why the pics are small...

First off I wanted to thank you guys for putting up this new topic. Just wanted to show everyone my welding truck. I don't do this full time. Just do side jobs now and then. But the way it looks with my real job I may have to start looking for work with it. And it's just handy to take to family members place for working on whether.

That attachment is cool. I didn't know such thing exists! They aren't that much either. As for the light I bet I could put a magnet on there some how. Guess I just need to order the new light and find out.

Thanks for the help guys. I will take it apart further when I get some garage time in. Thanks for the pic of the gap. I seen an old timer do that trick with a match box and a coil on a lawn mower one time. Learned something new that do. And I agree, these vises are sexy.

So last night at work I did a lot of welding on some 6" feed pipe. I seem to have a lot of time to think to myself when welding. I was inside and outside of a tank. Had to crawl in a little door. So I am draging around a welding lead, extension cord for the light, and a air line for the air chipper. So one of my ideas is if a of the tool company would come out with a cordless chipper or needle scaler. All I would need it for is to knock to slag off the weld. I figured ingersol rand could add it to there 20v line since they already make air chippers. Or metobo since there are in to metal trades. Also I would like to improve on the new Milwaukee lights that is coming out. The small light not the stand one. On the base of it, it needs a really strong magnetic so it can be slapped anywhere. Not just on the ground. What do you guys think?

Guess I missed this post. I have one. It is very handy. I grab it before I grab a ratchet. I have a set of grey pneumatic duo sockets I use with it. And I agree the 1/2 3/8 combo is a really good deal. I want to get the 7150 to match this one.

O I still think they make the best vise. And I know I will not wear it out. Just don't understand why they would leave shavings in there.

I plan on taking all apart and cleaning it. Use some brake cleaner on it the lube and reassymble. I just don't understand why they could not use a little compressed air on it before the grease.

So I posted on here that I had purchased a Wilton vise. It is the 1745 tradesman made in the USA. Conductor advised that I open it up and check for metal shavings. So I did and this is what I found.....

For 250 it would be nice if it had a battery. But I still like it. I just checked out a couple sites that are advertising it and most are saying first of November as a shipping date.

Metal chip!? Why would they leave those in there? I will have to check that out. It came with a mounting templet/parts layout so I maybe able to get it apart. Il let you know what I come up with.
