  1. I will have the say flashlights and electrical tape. Both are always near by and have plenty of them.

I carry quite  bit of tape varieties but I always find myself digging for a flashlight.  Klein makes a non-contact voltage tester with a built in flashlight, ill probably pick one up thats pretty handy to have around.

  2. I've never seen two 4ah batteries for 99 dollars at lowes but seen the two 3ah for 99 all the time. You can buy two 4ah batteries on ebay for $105

Ive gotten a few batteries eBay, but just make sure you know what your buying, theres a lot of knock offs out there, whether they work or not, I won't take that chance.

  3. I've heard really good things about those Dewalt bits. Don't even consider the Shockwave bits...those Shockwave bits are HF quality at best. It sucks that Tyler is stuck with them, at least they aren't costing him money, just his patience.

They are a nice bit they seat well in the screw and very rarely do I strip out the head, if I do it's because me not the bits. They aren't as pricy as the milwaukees either.

  4. That's pretty damn cool. I think there should be some sort of stipulation, like you should agree to do a(or multiple) reviews on the forum...maybe not mandatory but an unofficial rule, it's a nice thank you for what is a ridiculous giveaway. I don't know about you guys, but I've never heard of a forum giving away that much to a member.

Absolutely, couldn't have said it better, pay it forward. This is the best forum out there.

  5. If you go to Ace, don't forget about the Irwin tool sale. The Vice grips and mini quick clamps are still $5 for a couple more days(there's other items as well). I believe everything is Chinese-made but still nice for $5.

I love ace for their sales like that.

  6. Same I just hate my work provides those shitty shockwave bits it drives me nuts

Never used the shockwave bits, I have some Dewalt bits with the magnetic sleeve and they are really nice, that seat well in screws and are very durable. Not sure what they call them but they have the yellow band in the bit.

  7. Right On! Sweet looking project. Looking forward to the day when the 2 boys rooms become vacant, one for my model railroad, and one for my game/tavern room.

Do they have an adjacent wall? Knock it out, railroads have a funny way of growing themselves lol. But a sweet set up would be to incorporate the railroad around a larger room with the game room in the middle.

  8. I was down at my local ace hardware and they have a sale going on for 2 18v packs or 2 20v 2ah batteries for $89 seem likes a good deal is it

I have seen the 4.0ah 20 max 2 for 99.99 at lowes from time to time, I like ace for quick things but my location seems to be over priced.

Also, check out HD I believe they sell a 2 pack of 3.0 ah around the 100 dollar mark at regular price.

  9. Tie wire for rebar, always at least 2 rolls. Marking paint, screws of every shape size and color. You name it really. Guys always ask what I have in my truck before even thinking about going to the supply house.

That's the best thing to do, you never know when you might need that little screw or 4 inches of wire.

  10. Everyone has a few items that they have a surplus of and always within an arms reach of. What do you guys have a plethora of?

I have quite a few tape measures, pencils and sharpies, and box cutters. Can't ever have enough of those. What do you think?

  11. So yesterday i was at lowes with my son just wasting time well my wife was looking at marshals anyway i found a dalluge hammer and really wanted to buy it now im skeptical about wooden handled hammers but i know a lot of framers who swear by them but im also waiting out for a stiletto tbone2 but close to 300 for that and the dalluge was 137 so kinda big price difference but what really stoped me was that fact i bought a new occidental leather pouch and hammer holster on the saterday oh well what can you do

I think it's preference I like the feel of a wooden handle hammer, I like the top heavy weight especially for a framing hammer, becomes down to what you feel comfortable working with.
