Where are Hart tools made?
Made by TTI in China, the tools are the same as a lot of ryobi models also owned by TTI. Milwaukee is owned by TTI as well but higher build quality and parts.

I want that saw just can’t justify the MSRP for that little thing, could definitely have a place for it in my shop cutting smaller stop with thinner kerf blades

Power over runtime, the Ridgid I have is severely underpowered, I would rather swap a battery pack after 10 minutes than have 20 of under powered. Dust collection is an absolutely must like everyone voiced, and if the dust port could switch between sides that would be a huge plus.

Like mentioned above it’s the same battery, but with North American Laws being less stringent DEWALT can market it as 20V Max, the max indicating the maximum voltage off the charger of these packs until load is applied

The best is Dewalt DCS575 FlexVolt.

They’ve upped the power on this there’s a newer model now under I think DCS578

Does this 5 include X-lock accessory manufacturers like Diablo who do not make a grinder but will be making X-lock accessories or 5 manufactures of grinders? So far I know Bosch and Makita are making both grinders and accessories and Diablo is making accessories. I would sure hope that two others are DeWALT and Milwaukee just because of how popular the brands are. I would expect a couple smaller companies like Hilti or Fein will be more likley options for the 5. Makita was a surprise just because of how big they are.
I read it as grinder manufacturers, not likely to be DEWALT or Milwaukee I would guess Fein, Metabo for sure plus Makita and Bosch. Fifth could be a wild card maybe Metabo HPT/Hikoki

It still holds up.
Higher voltage = lower current.
Lower current, less heat.
Less heat, longer life.
I still can’t believe dewalt missed the boat on 120v tools.
That would have been epic, dual voltage 60/120v, 120VAC.
That made so much sense for high demand cordless.

Yea I’ve noticed it too, this forum has always had its share of spam unfortunately so guys more persistent than others, quite a few years ago we had some fun with a guy trying to sell Lufkin tapes from Apex Tool Group, anyone else remember that one? LOL ah that made me laugh, I miss those day’s around here

There’s a guy who’s missing the point. Sure, changing batteries too often is inconvenient but an impact driver with even a 3Ah battery just goes and goes and goes. I’m actually planning to get a pair of 3Ah batteries at some point for this specific reason, even while they are the exact same size as the 5Ah.
This is why I like the new slim higher output packs, the 4.0 on my Bosch impact last forever but keeps the weight down, just ordered a couple 3.0 HO Milwaukee slims too

Need some pictures I’m not familiar with that model

I'm in the market for a mid-torque impact wrench to replace a Milwaukee 2860-20 that met an untimely death. The Milwaukee did everything I needed, but most of my tools are Makita and I really like my Makita XMT08 high-torque impact, so I took a look at the Makita mid-torque options. Surprisingly, it seems there really isn't a brushless mid-torque option? The XWT11 I've used is under-powered (210 ft lbs) and slow. Am I missing something?
Currently only Milwaukee and Dewalt offer a mid torque aside from truck tool brands and maybe IR

A little irony just crossed my mind...
With the batteries already available in X2 tools right now, XGT will actually have a hard time playing the part of the heavy-duty tool range. The 4Ah 40V Max XGT battery actually has less watt hours per charge than a pair of 5 or 6Ah batteries in X2. The only ways around this would be to either:
A- release an even bigger 6Ah 40V Max battery (equivalent to Milwaukee’s 12Ah 18V High Demand, or Dewalt’s 4Ah 60V Max), or...
B- create X2 variants of their XGT tools
What a conundrum for Makita I suspect this will be. It’s easy to forget that compared to X2, Flexvolt and High Demand really only barely caught up in terms of total watt hours per charge with their latest oversized batteries, and I suspect they are unlikely to be compelled to push further, at least not until the next major generation of battery technology comes out. But XGT as of this moment is actually a downgrade for high-power tools for the time being.
What’s funny is a few years ago when flexvolt and 9.0 Milwaukee batteries, Makita released a cute chart showing a advantage to two 5.0 batteries

Milwaukee = Apple in the tool world. [emoji854]
I have plenty of Milwaukee tools, but what you say is true. I picked up my Gen 2 Fuel drill and impact driver kit for $125 or so last year, after the Gen 3 made it "obsolete". In retrospect I wish I'd have picked up more...found a cart full of them and only grabbed one for my brother and one for me.
Always considered Festool to be the Apple of the tool world, minimalistic looking tools, clean lines, the I’m better than you attitude. And this is coming from a Festool and Apple owner LOL for some reason I just picture Darth Vader running Milwaukee tools, it’s the evil empire, still not complaining plenty of red in my shop

Does anyone have advice on buying a pro Sawstop or a commercial Sawstop? We are considering selling our Delta Unisaw set up and replace it with either a professional or industrial model Sawstop. Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are a club with a nice sized shop in a 55 and older community. We have a lot of people using the shop some with a lot of experience and some not so much. It will get a good amount of use. The Delta works great and has a nice fence and side table but the Sawstop has a great safety features and considering we are an Aging group, we would like to have extra pro-cautions in place.

What’s the electrical supply of the current unisaw? Pretty sure most of the sawstops run 220v and the industrials run multi phase, just something to keep in mind
