Very clean, I try to balance function and storage while still fitting the cars in during winter months. Easier said than done sometimes

Miss the tool fights, although that's what got me hooked and sadly I haven't watched much youtube TIA in a long time, used to watch every morning, funny how life changes, all about Instagram these days

I’ve got the HKC but I’m not a pro, rather a hobbyist. Love the saw, I framed out my back deck with it and have done mostly smaller projects with it. I am invested in the Festool line already so it was not a big deal for me to get the saw and I have been pleased with it’s performance but for framing work, I always use my Dewalt Flexvolt saw. Deeper cut and it’s got some crazy torque. I guess I would say if your going to spend the coin, I would probably get the Mafell, it’ll run Metabo batteries. I am not bashing the HKC and don’t have any reason not to love it but if you weren’t happy with the TSC, I doubt you’d be too impressed with the HKC though I love the capabilities of that little saw.
Second this, the marcell takes this style of saw to the next level, the depth adjustment does not pivot the shoe but lowers the whole assembly, keeps your saw from awkward angles on shallower cuts, if size is an issue i want to say the Mafell comes in two sizes

Festool guys will buy it because it'll be apart of their system, they'll probably blue tooth it for DC with the new extractors and develop all sorts of jigs for it, 5k later...

SetBuilder but most do...got work? Everyone does now....
Dewalt battery prices are ridiculous... Milwaukee has much better battery deals
Yea Dewalts seem to have a $20 premium over Milwaukee... except the new battery’s 250 for 12.0? Yikes

Was socked to see the cordless router baretool price at $179, nuts considering the Makita is $119 bare tool... hopefully it outperforms the Mak at that price

Absolutely love and cherish MY Mafell KSS 40. My money is on Makita to be the first to make one.

Makita plays at their own pace, they’ve never been a keep up with the joneses company, it would be in their benefit to release some lights but wouldn’t surprise me if they don’t.

Essentially every tool will benefit from the larger packs as there is a higher amp draw potential with the bigger packs even drills and impacts

So I own the current 20V jigsaw. Is there any advantage of a D handle over a barrel grip?
I like a barrel grip for a few reasons mainly a switch over a trigger and better handling for scroll and intricate cuts

Yeah it should be included standard. You got fucked Jimbo [emoji14]
lol I’m not the only one!

Giving it a second look, it does have the smaller battery on it in the OP pic. That might indicate it isn’t aiming for overwhelming power either...but who knows. It could simply be an aesthetic decision for advertising purposes.
I’m not sure if you typo’d above but the Makita does have a dust port and a really good one, too. I’ve loved how smooth the thing is both for visibility and being crazy clean. Clean enough I have no hesitation running it indoors.
Yes it does have a dust port how ever in the states even though I paid $400 for the kit it doesn’t come with it you have to order to extra, hopefully dewalt ships it out with their router, just a little bit frustrating how much money does it really cost them to make those adapters?

Maybe the tallness will prove indicative of the relative power of the thing. Although I’m skeptical it would be enough to warrant Dewalt making it handle 1/2” bits, which Makita’s compact router is not built to accommodate.
I was more curious if they might shoot for a higher-power Flexvolt router. Not because I would buy it, but to incline Makita to do perhaps develop an X2 router that themselves. Alas, that would have been a very tall ask. May not even be feasible really.
Judging by the size I’d say it would be a a 1/4” trim router, hopefully is has a bit more power than the mak, using larger bits you can easily stall it out
How cool would a larger 1/2” Flexvolt Router be

Hi all! I'm in the market for a quality AM/FM radio. Bluetooth would be nice, too. I've used the most recent M18 radio (which doesn't have BT for some reason) and really wasn't impressed with its sound quality. It seems Milwaukee really doesn't have much to choose from on this front. Their most recent AM/FM radio in the M12 line was released 8 years ago. I was also looking at the M18 BT AM/FM radio/Charger; it's been out for about 3 and a half years but it averages out to be more than $200 and I haven't heard much about its audio quality. Any opinions on how it compares to, say, the DeWalt DCR025 or Makita radios? (I'm assuming it doesn't match the Tough System radio so I'm excluding that from comparison) Thanks!
I have the m12/m18 BT speaker, doesn’t charger batteries nor have a radio but sound quality is out standing
