I’ve read the glide mechanism isn’t nearly as smooth as the Bosch

Stealth force has power, more than the surge but I’d rather drill with a brick that the surge, too bulky and too heavy, go with the surge

The Dewalt jig works great ,but I too prefer barrel grip....the Bosch 18v barrel grip jig is a fantastic. It should be they invented it.....wish Dewalt would give us more options, less gadget stuff....
Depends on the application, for finer work I like a barrel grip, curves, scrolling, detail work but (I know your anti-red) lol however I use the m18 jig for more HD work like finishing out stair treads and rougher work

Bad batteries won’t smoke the drill, most likely the brushes need to be replaced. What’s the model number of the drill?

For a start go cordless, you looking for a 1/4” or a 1/2” shank, Bosch colt is an awesome router, I bought a giant Hitachi Plunge Router for 160 bucks but it’s rather larger but will run the big bits

I like brushless everything....longer life.....I’m still waiting for all those tools above..
20v trim router......20v random orbit sander.....20v or 60v belt sander....desperately need a light weight 10” cordless mitre saw.....love a barrel grip jigsaw......powerful vac.....20v biscuit joiner.......and with the tripod light coming and the table...and the rear handle.....I would pretty much have everything I need to frame and build decks...............of course a 12ah (skip the 10) battery ,would be perfect for my needs!!
Ros may not be too far out porter cable just released one

You can go to festools website to request a catalogue makes great reading material

The handle almost seems more square but side by side it doesnt look much different than the fuel. I'm sure a person would get used to it but it's kind of strange that the paddle doesn't have a "click"to it.
Fuel actually feels wider it has a taper to it but feels much better than the Dewalt despite the slender grip

I think it looks awesome, as I read the review on here and have been following the Canadian guys on IG and they seem to like it. I guess I want to read a review of someone using it on a site.... so I can see how handy it is and practical in working conditions. I would be interested in getting one, as the house I flipped earlier in the year was a cluster with tools all over... maybe this would help?

It’s an awesome system don’t get me wrong just not for me and my needs. The bags seem very well built

I find it to have similar power to the fuel when they both have 5.0. Its not a big difference but I think the fuel with a 9.0 seems a little more powerful than the dewalt with a 6.0. Still neither one compares to the flexvolts power. Just FYI because I know you've had some experience with the fuel and prefer the metabo. Also and I can't figure out why because the grip seems like it would be smaller on the dewalt but it feels harder to get a firm grip on.
Has to be the paddle, it’s rather uncomfortable after prolonged use

Sure post this after I pull the trigger on a 6.0 and grinder haha. I assume you were trying to get some runtime numbers with constant use from full to dead battery?
Yea you got it! 12 min on the flat 10 on the regular

Actually is the charger, known issue if this every happens you can “reset” the charger by sliding the battery in and out about 5-6 times. Once I did that all was good

I was able to get them working, there’s a way to “reset” the chargers by sliding the battery in and out numerous times. The batteries didn’t feel that warm but I’m going to chalk it up to internal heat and low battery. I let them sit to cool off a bit as well.

Gentleman please watch your 6.0 XR packs both of the ones I have went down for the count doing grinder runtime tests. They drained below critical battery level and are at the point of no return. Use caution with them date of manufacture is 2017 27-49 7-7
Though this is a loaner kit it’s still disappointing to see

Pretty much my exact wishlist. Throw in a 20v biscuit joiner and I'll be pretty close to complete.
Was thinking that too, could even be flex for harder woods

Yes.
And yes.
I like the RIDGID belt but could really benefit from the higher voltage
