  1. Does it have to be new? Every once in a while there are some nice cabinet saws on CL for a song. Every area is different though.

Usually Craigslist here is overflowed with 40 year old rusted snap on that guys want triple what they paid.

I’m trying to stay away from a cabinet saw as they tend to be bulky.
I’ve considered the FV table but for 150 bucks less I’d rather have the 10” blade.
I like the contractor saws because if need be they can be stored more compactly.
Rip capacity isn’t a huge deal I don’t plan on doing much sheet material with it but smaller stock, sheet goods eventually I’ll grab a track saw

  2. Yeah, I use that 887 all the time. It’s a pure beast and a lot of people whine about that speed 1 but it’s actually quite useful once you get used to it. Especially when working delicate stuff.

Yea you can scramble a couple eggs and read the morning paper being the impact engages ha ha

  3. So I’m at the point in my shop where it’s time to get a table saw. Looking for input but here’s my direction.

Smaller and compact so it can be “put away”

Base not important as I plan on building a lower cabinet on casters that I can roll to an outfeed table.

Budget around 500 but not strict

Would like to be able to use a dado eventually.

Color doesn’t matter but I am leaning Dewalt maybe the DWE7480

  4. Good stuff. I'm a big fan of hot food but for some reason I can't handle Wasabi. It burns up in your nose.

I recently discovered Sriracha (the genuine stuff from California). I have that on almost every meal.

I love horse radish but wasabi isn’t my favorite, very similar though

  5. Looks like a nice unit but you gotta be careful. There are two versions. An entry level model for non flamable sprays and a max model which can spray flamables. Also has many nozzles available as well. I was considering looking into one for spraying poly.

I think the ultra sprays poly

  6. Radial arm saw? At least that's what I think of when I think of old Dewalt tools. They were grey too!

You got it! Love going to the local wood yard and they only order 16’ lengths and will cut what you need on the ole Dewalt
