  1. I’m trying to figure out how to mount one of the drills in the SDS Quick system. I can use the Countersink, Holder and Socket Adapter without any problem. The screwheads fit in the Holder which fits in the SDS. But how can I fit the drills? There are round all the way, the SDS doesn’t get a grip on the big ones and the small ones simply fall out. I hope this is a really stupid question with an easy solution [emoji4]

    Thanks in advance, first post.

You can’t that is an sds drill that only takes sds plus drill bits , the other bits need to go into a normal drill chuck !

  2. Why haven’t u sent those tools out for fixing? It’s free and in a week it’s back to u

Yes I agree a lot of people complain about kit breaking which is shit but if it’s less then a year old just get it sorted on warranty

  3. That sums it up as well as I have ever read. BOSCH first called their 3 cell lithium 10.8 V but to keep up with the competition, renamed it 12 volts....same battery. Mine are marked 10.8 but if I need a replacement they will say 12 volts. In Europe trade regulations require nominal voltage so it is still 10.8 V over there and there are probably no 20's either.

No bosch has now named the 10.8v in the uk 12v

  4. Hi I have the uk dcs365 mitre saw and have a question for anyone else that has this saw, the led shadow line on mine shines down the right of the blade so the shadow line is always to the right of the blade so if your cutting with the waste to the right as most the time you are then I still have to allow for the thickness of the blade to the left of the line ?

On all YouTube videos of this saw the led produces a black shadow of the blade as it shines down both sides of the blade so this way it doesn’t matter which side your off cut is , does anyone else have the same issue and do you know if it’s adjustable ?

Well, I put it into service today, and now we're blood brothers:

Rotating #2 phillips bit versus unlucky thumb.  Thumb loses.

Other than that, the drill is a pleasure to use.  Very powerful and nicely balanced.  Here is the current project:

When my hired help arrives tomorrow to help scootch all the OSB down the stairs, the floor panels go on, and then the workbenches get built.

I’ve done that so many times with a ph2 bit [emoji107]

Was this the more or less the image you were trying to post?

I don't know that I'd say it's excessively decorated, but that sure is one weird design.  I don't like it.  Seems like it would get in the way.

Porter cable in the uk is Stanley fatmax and it’s total crap 28381e3fbbf3e91e590069e80aac0d2d.jpg

  7. I’ve never seen that bit from Dewalt, I’m.with ya....., I love Dewalt tools, but I agree with [mention=44933]framer[/mention] Dewalt bit cases suck. Milwaukee is better and better bits but the best bits and cases I found are Bosch...easiest to remove and install and the whole row just clicks out..........you can by whole rows of whatever bits you want from Bosch..
All guys on the crews must carry their own bit box with a truss lock bit, timberlock bit, T40,T30,T25,T15, Sq1,Sq 2 and Phillips.....I personally use a bosh box ,clear lid, rubber corners, ( 8$ at lows at Christmas)  I carry different brand bits for easy recognition, Dewalt T15, Milwaukee T25, Bosch everything else...
I usually buy in bulk packs on amazon, not individual cases, except Black Friday deals....D2AEDF37-E216-4CA7-8C2D-11A68BACE18F.thumb.jpeg.2f54e11c2ff23df331ebe862d0a7e219.jpeg95E66FBE-1685-4D6C-ABC9-C1C4BEBF0CA6.thumb.jpeg.188085402bb9b5493f0bc80003907dc0.jpeg15C7D9EF-224F-4DEC-95DD-0D09589E0795.thumb.jpeg.02e01ed8a2f31b31d5c2f5a4e3cad093.jpeg

Does the bit holder in the set have a snap ring inside or is it just the magnet holding the bit in ?

  8. Yes I’ve just bought the Gen 2 impact and I’m so impressed with it , the speed settings work really well and the self drilling mode is good for small screws into timber as it backs off the power when it seats the screw works great !
I’ve got the 6 Ah batteries in the kit and the impact is just a really nice balance with them.
The thing I’m most impressed with is the power and speed for a 12v I think it shames most 18v impacts

  9. The tools seperately come with hard cases but if u buy the drill/impact kit there is no hard case available to fit both.
The more I use these the more impressed I am. This little drill can run a 3/4” ship auger in high speed! I know guys who have 18v drills that can’t do that

I take it you have the gen 2 drill driver then ? What’s that like do you rate it ?

  10. I wish our kits came with the 6.0 batteries, and I wish the new combo kits came in a hard case!

Do they not do them where your from then ? I would have preferred the other hard case the red one that is moulded with the metal clips .
Really impressed with the impact , did a side by side test with my dewalt dcf887 which was on a 2ah battery and had both in speed 3 using 70mm wood screws in to timber and the m12 was faster I couldn’t believe it !

  11. I've found this thread but haven't read the whole thing yet. It's indicating possible issues with the 1.3ah batteries.

    https://www.bosch-professional.com/gb/en/community/category/108v-battery-question/382600-t/p9#/main

It was the multitool damaging the batteries , the 1.3 Ah batteries are fine I have plenty and never had one fail !
On the bosch forum the largest thread is the one about the batteries failing and all the response points to the multitool damaging them

Thanks for the info. Now that you've mentioned the drop in one light on the fuel gauge, i'm 99% certain that's when mine started doing it as well! I'm still on the first charge with this thing.

Yes keep an eye out for that and see if it does that , also try swapping the battery like I said as that used to get mine going again

  13. I used to get the exact same thing with my bosch gdx -vec it would all of a sudden do exactly what you have described but if I put it down and left it for 1 minute it would start again ! Also I sold that and bought the gdr-vec which did exactly the same and what it was is the tools electronics was kicking in the circuit protection and just getting a bit confused and then sorting its self out but this only happens on brushless bosch tools and with mine there was a trick to get it going take the battery off and put another on and the drill starts working again and then I put the original battery back on and it works fine still.
By the way I did notice it only happened when the battery dropped a light on the fuel gauge ! And it wasn’t a battery issue as I sold my gdx to my friend and the problem continued with him too using his batteries!

  14. I’m not familiar with that laser but normally that will be either it’s in the lock position so it’s reminding you it’s not a level line or the battery is low or the ground is to far out of level for the pendulum to find it’s own level but like I said I don’t know the laser that you have just check these things !

  15. Speed 1 is not for everyone. It has its place but could probably be improved. The delay has its place especially for delicate cabinet screws. A shorter delay would be alright. I feel like there could be more power to the motor before the impact mechanism activates. I'd like to see more specialty modes. A sheet metal mode is an obvious one but maybe it could be smart enough to turn off the motor when the screw is fully fastened.  I'd like to see a quiet mode or maybe a screw driver mode that is max power no impacts.

Yes I agree with everything you have said but I find after the delay when the impacts kick in they aren’t delicate at all.
I will buy the dcf888 when I find one at a decent price

  16. Haha fair point! I've had mine handed back to me before by helpers claiming they broke it, so it's my default inquiry regarding 887 spd1[emoji106]

I love my 887 but the speed one is just crap , I had the bosch gdx and speed one was very good

  17. Hi has anyone got the dewalt dcf888 yet ? Not many reviews on YouTube yet ( well any good ones ) I want to know what it’s like to fine tune the setting especially the lowest setting as we all know the number 1 speed on the 887 isn’t the best ! Anyway if anyone can tell what it’s like for fine tuning the setting that would be great thanks
