After all my bad mouthing about European prices I ended up making purchase from Uk..... Plan to make a decent post with shipping cost taxes and reasons for choosing each particular tool etc as soon as I get a chance! Am just delighted to have the tools now and start getting some work done so they can start paying for themselves!!!! Everything in picture is new. I saved up for a long time thinking iv be making one large order from canada. long storey but canada turned out to be a no go while trying to pay... i would of stayed with team yellow if they only had a brushless circ and jig saw... getting the brushless planner in approx 6 weeks when its out! was going to get the makita but said id wait!! although i must say iv a lotthe the makita 18v planer and its as good as any corded unit!

I suppose if you take your time its a fair option but if he manages to locate a 30mm bore at a price that's not much more id preferably take it. Freud blades are great tho!! they really do improve the performance of a saw!!

I have to disagree... if you go to the expense of buying a good well balanced flat blade that's laser cut and all that stuff would you not be completely defeating the purpose if you go ahead are bore the hole bigger you would never be that accurate? That's only my personal thoughts and am willing to be told differently?

hello, I am in Europe too 30mm is our standard bore. Therefore the bushing adaptors wont work as US standard bore is 1 inch/25mm. I also personally don't think they are the best solution. I have spoken to Freud and they tell me that the Diablo and Freud blades are made to the same standard (bar the industrial Freud blades) only downside for us is that Freud is priced a lot higher!! Diablo is the US version of Freud it doesn't exist in Europe. hope that helps.

also I am taking advantage of the weak Canadian Dollar! Generally I order from US but their dollar is very strong right now!! That's why I was struggling to locate stuff.

why do you think what i am paying is expensive for Canada? who do you generally purchase from?

im not sure as some of these particular tools are not available in Ireland. I would guess to buy this locally it would cost approx 10000 maybe even 12000 Canadian dollars.... You would be shocked at some of the prices...

Yes import duties are just another hurdle to deal with. They will probably b around 500 euro from a rough online calculator.... Ill let ye know when I find out. As I said this site has been invaluable to me over the last while I definitely want to give back. So I'll give detailed information on cost taxes shipping import duties and reviews on everything once all is sorted! It should help out anybody on my side of the world looking to order over seas.

Has anyone here ever bought off Atlas Machinery before? I am about to spend 4000 Canadian dollars including shipping on their website yet they are not interested in offering me any sorts of discount! what do ye think? I thought they would do something?

hi mate screwfix have a bosh brushless on sale for their deal of the day! (offer ends midnight tonight) they have great after service so it would be well worth looking at and free returns if your not impressed. If you just want a drill its something to look at! Then again I buy all my tools in bulk over seas as is much much cheaper!

Ireland sure is a rip off and terrible choice too!! Approx 20% of the overall price will go to shipping and taxes!(taxes are unpredictable so it may even be more) Either way I am saving loads If I guessed id say ill save 60% from buying from Canada including shipping and taxes rather than buying from Ireland!! I know the warranty is useless but you should be clearly able to see why ill take the gamble!! yes over here if you are working on a site its the law to only use 110v tools for safety. So ill just cut the cord and change the plug. Yes it means always needing the transformer but its worth the savings! I presume ur talking about makita yes? I was going to do that too but really like the idea of tek mode on the newer impact! Plus the extra torque and rpms will be handy for driving bolts into masonry.

Everyone seems to love their m12 fuel gear!! I just couldn't help myself!! I have done a lot of research and been saving a long time for this and now its time to blow it all in one go

So I am an apprentice cabinetmaker and now on a mission to fill the van up of tools.... ( exiting times but all the same the fear of spending a lot of $$$ and not being impressed with quality) I am a firm believer in buying the highest quality tools I can afford and minding them. I am based in Ireland so my first main purchase of tools is going to be from Canada as its much cheaper and even cheaper again if I make a once off large purchase and save on shipping allowing me to get more bang for my buck!
