  1. This would be an awesome upgrade to my current impact. I won't vote for myself. Besides there are others who are more active than I am. Let's face it, i became active again when the giveaways started lol. If one of the regulars feel strongly towards someone getting it let me know. I'll send my Vote in a PM

  2. I am left handed but can use either hand if needed.

For welding my instructor made us all use are opposite hand one class. He suggested doing it that way for a few weeks if wanted. It sounded crazy at first but I could see the logic behind it. Almost everything except my job at the time I did right handed. It took about a month to get good with my right hand.

Nowdays I can use either hand when needed. Some positions in welding it helps if you can use either hand. Lots of times its in confined spaces or up against a corner.

I still primarily use my left hand but have that ability.

My right hand is pretty weak when it comes to being able to use it for stuff.

  3. I bought my dad an estwing like that for Christmas last year, I think that's the better route than an engraved one which is really shit for functionality and tool quality

I made sure to purchase one for myself when I got them.

My best man sent me a picture of his son using it. I thought hat was cool.

I wanted to get something functional that you don't normally see. I got a personalized mug for one wedding I was in... it sits on my dresser with junk in it. Let's face it. I'll never use it for anything and at some point that mug will run away. Just like my gold fish did as a kid.

A lot of stuff I see online for groomsmen is golfing related and that's not me or my groomsmen

  5. So as some of you know I'm getting married in may, so I guess it's time, per future mrs Jimbo, to get something for my guys standing up, I'm kind of drawing a blank other than the typical beer glass or mount in the garage bottle opener, any ideas?

I had this issue as well when I got married in May. I got my groomsman hatchets. I didn't get to have them engraved like I wanted but they liked them. At least I think they did. 0024f9e03092e855c391fa65d9742a94.png

  6. So I have question for other left handed people like myself. What tools do you find to be difficult or inconvenient to use? For me things used to cut tend to be built with only a right handed person in mind. For the most part I have learned to adjust and deal with it and adapt. ... except in elementary school. I had to have the left handed scissors. The regular scissors hurt my fingers.

  7. Actually this tab.

    IMG_6690.PNG

It used to show a blue bar if there were new and unread posts in forum groups and in specific forums as you drilled down. The unread and new posts tabs show all new posts in every forum, so there's a lot of noise. I really liked being able to look to see if there were new unread posts in specific forums without having to wade through everything. The web interface does this by having the forum name bolded. Tapatalk does not.

Not having experienced the old way and not able to comepare them. I just go to the unread or new post and read through those. When I first got back on here I marked everything as read so I didn't have a million posts to read.

  8. Wow. That's a crazy skill. I'm impressed. You should do a series of tools, recreate the classics.

Im sure you're a hell of a lot of fun to drink with...

Very nice. Drinking only makes the balloon creations go down a different path

  9. LOL that's bad dude (but funny)

Seriously, the balloon thing is quite a different turn of events here on the forum, that's awesome!!

And it wouldn't be TIA if this thread stayed on track so I can't say i'm surprised by it ....

Lol it is different from what's on here. My goal is to use my tools build something to store my balloons.

  10. For some people their hobby uses material such as wood, metal, paint and even a combination of all of those. For me my hobby uses latex. Latex in various shapes and sizes and colors. I know there are sites out there for people like me but I wanted to share this with you guys as well.... I'm a balloon artist!cd4bcfbcae743be64bdd8a18f0d5e5a9.png4ca2b526ac34ddbcf4708d28b5e4944f.pngdd9c2d616f1fecce5d8d83aac5941671.png7240ef0eaaba3488243f11bf1228f2d1.pngbfe607a38b279cba554f0728618e9760.png4aeb4ac47e222ba1f9d5a94d67f7800e.jpg

  11. I had only used tapatalk early this year. Then it caused issues with my phone, either the app or the phone. So i ditched it and went with the mobile version of the forum. Which I actually came to prefer because it's quite similar to the actual layout and i can see embedded links that won't work on tapatalk. Never looked back...

I know what you mean about the embedded links. I'm pretty sure I misunderstood a topic earlier and wished him a happy new year. I realized later I missed something

  12. Today with my tools I made a mess. I had to fix a dresser and didn't eve all the tools needed. I had to cut a board that was too wide to fit between two dresser drawers. The hack saw just wasn't cutting it and the Milwaukee razor knife could only cut so far lol. I know some of you may cringe at this post. I'm really good at the improper use of tools. ...When the Milwaukee knife didn't finish the job I took my screw driver and used it to to split the wood the rest of the way. It wasn't pretty but the job got done. I only cut myself a couple times...looks like my socket set I bought today could have waited lol
