  1. 2602-20  2606-20  2607-20  and 2 others seem to all look the same and be mixed in and changed about all dif kits at HD.  I wonder if the kits that everyone thinks change price al the time are not actually the same kits.  maybe the kit thats 200, then 169, then 219 that we all think is the same is actually dif tools in the kit each week at HD?

Edit: looks to be so.  You dont even see these when your on the site browsing.  You physically need to manually type in each one.

and there are a lot more.  just read that HD swaps each week but never changes display or add so you would never know till u buy it hahah

  2. and another is if you get the drill in the $150 kit its 450 torque. If you buy it just tool only its a dif part number but its 500 torque.

I heard a rep a Home Depot say heard about this and a rumor that the "same" milwaukee tool you buy at Home depot vs direct can be off by 1 model # and be different guts inside.... and its seeming to be a trend.  buy tool only its 1 model # up or down and more powerful than any tool in the kits at HD.. true?

  3. from what i was able to gather both the drills are the same, but it seems the drivers are different. the one for $250 is a "CT" which i cant find on the Milwaukee site.  just confused since you cant compair the driver and drill b/c the $250 ones does not give you the part numbers.

I also just came across some other odd things (and its not just with the drivers).. For example if you buy a normal Milwaukee driver tool only (normal= brushed  & Not fuel) and you buy a kit with that same driver they should be the same. -- so if you have 3 drivers in front of you... 1 tool only, one that comes with battery, one that came in a kit; they all will have the same number on the sticker on the actual tool.  so "normal" being 2656-20

----- but if you compare the 2 links below you notice that if you just buy the tool w/o the drill it has 1500 torque and not 1400 like all the others.  and this is the case with a lot of tools.

    1400 torque = https://tinyurl.com/j8ylb8y

  4. Ok so after looking into this more i am super confused by the packages at Home Depot!  I noticed that the price for the drill & driver combo kits changes almost daily! Last week alone the one i got went from $199 to $169 to $249....what.  And i was just looking on the site and some other threads and started noticing a lot of dif things.

This is the normal package - Model # 2691-22

              - Home Depot link:  https://tinyurl.com/j8ylb8y

       - This used to come with a free flashlight, but now its only when you buy online and not in store... The is the kit i got 2 days ago, the day after it does not come with the free $50 flash light!

    - Driver:  2656-20

    - Drill:  2606-20

Then i noticed this one (notice the belt clip on the driver is different & its $60 more) - Model # 2697-22CT

              - Home Depot link:  https://tinyurl.com/zfbd22x

    - Driver:  does not tell you...

    - Drill:  does not tell you...

Hey Tim I know u just picked this kit up but did you see the milwaukee bundle deal that HD is running today? It's a really nice price for more tools bro I would definitely check it out.

Hey I just saw this post, I paid $169 for my kit.  Looks like its now $200 for my kit in store and if you order online its $200 and comes with light.  Do not see the cheaper on.

  6. Please see below... I will not be using to make a living, but i also use a lot more then a normal DIY home owner.  For example work on my cars, will be drywalling my 3 car garage soon, fixing riding mower etc.  just not sure if i will regret no getting one in 5 months or not...?

This is the kit i have for: $170  -  Link: https://tinyurl.com/han4ne2

    Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill Driver/Impact Driver Combo Kit (2-Tool)

This is the same kit but Brushless (non-Fuel) for: $220 to $250  -  Link: https://tinyurl.com/jgvjmqo

I can maybe see spending another $50 to $70 to get brushless, but my issues is do I spend another $200 to $230 (plus tax) to get fuel?  I hate getting stuck with something in a year from now, but again do i need the best... no

ive been in the professional construction trades for the last 30 years or so, so i make a living with my tools, i just recently got into the milwaukee cordless tool line, the m12,'s all of the them are the fuel line, and it wasnt the brushed vs brushless question, it had to do more with the build quality of the fuel line compared to the brushed line. if i wasnt making money with my tools i would not hesitate to buy into the brushed line. all of my 18/20 volts are dewalt, with 80% being the 18v lithium ion, my favorite is the dcd970 hammer drill, i have used the new brushless models, ( not mine), there is a difference, but its not black and white, its more like black and grey. if run time is a problem, then down the road you pick up a few extra batteries. run time or performance difference has never been a problem with me on the brushed models. dont feel like you have to spend money you cant, like dano said, i have never run into a job that the brushed couldnt handle

Am i going to notice a dif in brushed vs brushless? for example use mine then use a non fuel brushless one?  also is the big dif in the battery's?

  8. wow this is my first time on this forum and WOW. tons of great advice and input.  I paid $169 for the regular Milwaukee driver and drill. And after you just mentioned that they have it in Brushless and then fuel i checked.  I could return this one and get the brushless (non-Fuel) version for $200, $30 more to go to brushless.  is it worth it or just be happy with the one i have and use it?

  9. So... Brushless vs not brushless?  is it worth the extra $ ?   I am just a regular guy who uses my tools a little more than average.  These are the 2 i am considering... I know the big dif's are the brushless and fuel.  I am not talking dif in batteries or any of that, just is it worth it

  10. I have the Milwaukee 2691-22 kit here is a link to info:  https://tinyurl.com/han4ne2

I saw a empty case online for $25 for a 2897-22 M18 fuel case.  Here is the info to the fuel kit, this is the case: https://tinyurl.com/hbf3wpm My question is does anyone know if my stuff will fit in this case?  Mine came with a soft bag for the case and it sucks.  Please help me if you know or have the case at home to try.

Attached are pics of the case i want to get for my tools...
