  1. Have you actually used one? The coolest feature they have in common, in my opinion, is the 1400w motor with same no-load speeds. If you watch video reviews of both, you will see many more similarities than differences.

I don't care about slightly slower blade change, the Bosch is very simple. Also don't care about the micro depth adjust, or scoring feature. Certainly not enough to justify the price premium.

As it sits, for $300 less than I would have paid for the Festool setup, including longer rails that I feel have a superior build and connection system, I'm VERY impressed, honestly. :)

Sold my 2731 half an hour ago and just ordered the 2731/9.0 combo kit to replace it. 9.0 and rapid charger on the cheap :)

    Nice!

Do we have any real-world experience with how this compares with the FlexVolt?

Since I'm no longer going with either the FlexVolt recip or angle grinder, and either would require a new battery platform, just wondering what the consensus is.

  3. Yeah, I get it. Then again, Everyone had the same opportunity to get this deal, so I don't have a problem with someone making a little profit on a great buy. People make a living buying stuff cheap and selling it online.

Festool could certainly have put a limit on purchases per person or household if they wanted to.

  4. Although I get your point, if I end up with the same Metabo grinder that I just bought, you can bet one of them will be sold.

I just bought both a corded and a cordless Metabo of the same size, and certainly don't need three. I also can't afford to just give away hundred's of dollars.

    Just my opinion.
