Not all of them. I came across this deal and it's close to motivating me to pull the trigger.

Buy a tower light get a free 5.0 starter kit. That's fine and dandy, however HD and some other retailers are ALSO running a get a free starter kit.

So for $200, you get the tower light and TWO starter kits. That's a deal any way you look at it.

Well I'm not sure they will give you another free starter kit if your already got the the rocket light that comes with the starter kit I tried a few times to get another free add on item from their Rebates I never get them and then call milwaukee and then they say you already had the free add on item... No more good deals for you...

I'm fairly new to the construction trade so I'm sticking with one brand for now. I was given money specifically for a DeWALT set a year and a half back and I figured I would stick with DeWALT for now. As for red I have no True red. I only have some cheap tools from Menards that are red but not True red. Might get a Milwaukee tape measure when my current one needs replaced. They are very nice.

I understand, :) those Dewalt's do have some good tools.

Yea there are good deals floating around but I always find the best on the Milwaukee website I will post a link below. I mean I know most are mail in rebates but free tools are free tools. One of the deals they have is buy $200 in sawzall blades or hole saws, get a free m12 fuel sawzall. Which I have been wanting but my work buys all my blades for me so I am getting a free sawzall outta the deal!

I believe these are invalid now it's past the valid purchase date.

    As an expression

M18fuel impact to Kobalt 24v Brushless and the the Circular saw.

I use to sell Milwaukee and know the tools inside and out. Once you use the Kobalt you will understand how much more comfortable and actually a solid power tool. Must have gone back to the drawing board when they designed these.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME ;D

    Milwaukee tools are awesome.

Kobalt tools are OK I've used them and have utterly failed at times.

Sorry man but KOBALT  VS MILWAUKEE Seriously?

So guys I hope you don't mind me taking the thread in a slightly different direction and try and learn more about how to maintain safety while working.

I am a complete newbie i.e. I have never worked with wood before and neither have had any training. I have however, had success in the past, learning new skills by doing research and discussing it on forums much like this. Of course nothing can beat proper training under a master, but that just isn't possible in my case.

So, from whatever I have read so far, I have come to the conclusion that the most dangerous aspect of woodworking is due to the fact that one's hand can get close the running blade while working. I have seen various solutions for that in the form of simple push blocks to expensive jigs like the GRR Ripper.

So correct me if I am wrong, but from what it seems to me, ( I have no experience yet, so I could be completely wrong) is that we use hands to provide a downforce on the piece of wood we are working on.

Now, again, my observation depends on my above understanding) , but can't we replace our hands with something else to provide the downforce like an appropriate weight which provides similar downforce.
Is there an estimated down force that is recommended or has been calculated or is it all left to intuition?

Well what I would recommend is do what your instincts tell you to do...

Safety is never hard to learn of course for others they had to learn the hard way by losing a few fingers but you can learn simply by using your conscience nothing better than using the old noddle to stay safe.

You could try making a retractable pencil holder out of a spool badge holder. They're a lot lighter weight and have an easier draw than a keychain since they only have to hold a badge. I got one on amazon for like $5 and it's held up fine so far, but then again I don't beat it up too badly.

I did this but still not very durable that's why I used the key chain puller.

  7. Why does Milwaukee make it so difficult to stop buying their stuff

  8. I haven't seen a Favorite cordless power tool thread yet or at least I didn't see it, but jimbo asking me the question when I posted my milwaukee collection "What's Your Favorite" gave me the idea to start one. (if not already out their)

But anyways post what your favorite cordless tool is, it doesn't have to be the tool you use all the time or the one that's always their by your right hand just your favorite...

    My favorite the Milwaukee Surge

Pretty quite and light And pretty awesome I like it because it's one of those (night and day difference) kind of tools.

I'm not going to lie, the video of the guys using it as a table saw made me want to look away.  That spinning blade sticking that far up out of the table with no riving knife and people's fingers right up next to the blade pushing wood is the stuff of my nightmares.  I fully admit that I'm a wimp about table saws and won't own one until I can have space and money for a SawStop, but that's borderline horrifying.

I agree sometimes it doesn't hurt to save 5 mins in safety, because that 5 mins in safety might save several months of not getting that paycheck or even your life.

The m12 jacket I have does not allow the battery to go in any other pockets, just in the back. It could be modified to do so, but would be a bit of work.

I have the heated hoodie and the vest but always wondering if their heated jacket has a USB slot to the front pocket to battery holder?

As a Steelers fan I hope for this exact thing to happen, but I think we're in danger of falling to the Chiefs. That stadium (Arrowhead) is notoriously difficult to win in. Playing to potential is an easy win but given whom and where I think it's going to be one hell of a game. I don't care for any of the remaining teams personally.

I'm a chiefs fan, and will be screaming my head off... literally

  12. Welcome yuri in just the three days I've been here it's been really exciting, although I have actually been reading the forum for months now it feels cool to be around people with the same thoughts tools, tools, projects, tools. lol:)

I think the best solution is to keep enough pencils that one is always within reach.  It's pretty cheap too.

Yes, and I do, the only problem is keeping them around when you really need them.

If I'm hanging a piece of sheetrock By Myself I can't put the whole thing down to go get one I always need one in an easy to reach way.
