I only have a guess from being and Admin on several Vbulletin forums. In the control panel you can associate things like ";)" with

I am guessing that during the transition to the new forum setup they just have not associated all the key stroke combinations with the actual emoticon.
My guess is either that or the migration just brought the original characters over and did not turn them into a emoticon. I have not looked. Is it possible older post not showing or is it something current?
I really doubt its a windows/mac/phone thing as the forum software just associates characters and inserts the proper smiley.
EDIT: I just looked. Its not related to time as I see many old posts with smileys. Seems to be working fine for me.

I rarely arc weld anything as I prefer to TIG. But I have a stinger setup that obviously will work off my TIG which is a Miller Syncrowave.

It would have to be adjustable and always messing with it when you changed to spindle mode. This gives you the benefit of 4" too. Mine is bench mounted on a slide in a spot I will never be able to run 4" anyway. My miter saw and sander will always be connected to the Festool dust extractor.

I think mass makes a lot of difference. I grew up using a Craftsman grinder just like that and it does a good job. We abused the crap out of i and it never failed. But when you are talking about new stuff there is a HUGE difference in something like a Baldor grinder compared to what you buy at big box stores. Big $$$ difference too.

They did switch the forum to a sub domain about a week ago.
I just read Erics post after I posted above. It was DNS related. When this happens you are mercy of the internet Gods. Nothing more frustrating that having a DNS change not take.

Well your phone is going to have a different DNS than your home computer as your provider usually has their own and they do the record lookup. Over the years I have seen browsers also handle DNS differently. Typically they just use your DNS that you get dynamically when you login from your computer but not always.
Since TIA is changing servers there is going to be a little ripple along the way and the reason you guys are all seeing different things is because DNS updates at different intervals for everyone.

Awesome. I have the same sander and it works great. My dust collection is currently "fair" but I know if I lay the hose on the top of table it works perfect. So I plan to modify mine with a flat nozzle that attaches to left side of table.

I think the issue you guys are seeing where its working in one device and not another was because of different DNS. The site change propagates differently on whatever DNS your device is issuing. Once it resolves out it should be fine.

I will more than likely use PVC on mine but plan to have small metal plates on the inside attached with carriage bolts. Then will run wire externally and attach to all those. I am doing something similar on my Festool dust extractor now. I know a lot of guys run a ground wire on exterior only but would like to give it a little help.
Jay Bates new system is mostly 6". I don't want that much 6" around my shop. If needed I will run the first few feet out of 6" but will split off to 4" and all my drops will be 4" for sure.

I have had lots of big/small block stuff over the years but have pretty much gravitated to small blocks.
Now its LS powered stuff.
PS: Just noticed it has the nose stripe on it and is a SS. So probably a SS 350 car.

No, pretty sure the Camaro is not a big block. Its actually dealership advertising artwork from 1967. Based on the trim I would say its a 6 cylinder or 327 small block.
I used to be into vintage Camaros and actually owned a legit 1967 Z28/RS.

I think they call this the money shot. I need to pick up some wood to build the little dovetail drawers and have a couple more tools to build mounts for but this thing is "in service"
And the Sketch up drawing. Having everything in CAD saves a lot of potential screw ups along the way and the completed project usually looks just like the drawing.
And redid the clamp fingers so the new "HD" version of the Jorgensen clamps would fit. As you can see the very left five 24" F clamps are a lot bigger than the next three. My fault for building something without the product in hand.

I realize the Kapex is probably not an option but was trimming out my wall mounted tool cabinet and thinking how nice this was. Did not think it was a big deal when I got it but sure has came in handy.

Haha, its all good and looks like the spacing is OK. I have another block cut for these 5 clamps. After dinner I will go out and sand it and give it a coat of poly and should be ready to screw in place and hold clamps tomorrow.

Progress and setback.
The progress was I got the first coat of poly on the tool cabinet and all the tool mounts.
The setback back was my Jorgensen clamps showed up today. The six small 6" clamps were fine and are Jorgensen brand as they were supposed to be this time. However, the five 24" clamps I ordered are apparently a "HD" version which is not really a bad thing but the bar is about 20% thicker and the fixed head is taller and deeper.
So, I had shorten one section of my clamp rack and now rebuilding a deeper section with 5 wider slots to accommodate the new heavier clamps. As I type this I just got thinking I better check the width as well as I might have to stretch the spacing out which will involve moving the rest to the right a few inches.

Looks like the magnets worked great.
Looking forward to a real dust collection someday so I can do the same.
