  1. Hello! I checked some Makita I have, made in Japan and they are as you said very well made compared to some China made. one that I realized is very useful in a lot of occasion is the cordless power file as they call it, a small hand grip narrow belt sander. Resolved many troubles also in metal fabrication especially when you have to adapt small metal pieces. I will try to resist in buy more tools that I actually don’t necessarily need. Now the garden season is starting and I will let my batteries work a bit more.. have a nice day!
  2. I suppose it is the automatic filter cleaning?? mot scrolls the dust attached on the surface of the filter and keep dust extraction at max. very good machine!
  3. Hi, I got your point, when I started with cordless tools I had just two dewalt batteries and bought an adapter to use makita tools. then I found some deals on kit and started my makita 18vbattery and tools collection. I actually do not really need new tools except(the real one I need is out of any human possibilities) the 4wheels propelled barrow from Makita (around 5kEuro!!). I was tempted from xgt because of their super power output, I can feel it on the blower powered by backpack, extraordinary.. but the rest of tools need a battery to be cordless and the big ones that allow to drain such power. But thinking Definitely not worth for me. I never tried any Bosch Fein or metabo cordless, probably because my father was a makita and Dewalt cord user. The alliance for the batteries would be great also for environmental reason.. good night and good job! ps I am very happy of the makita biscuit joiner, the Lamello should be even better and with more options, congratulation!
  4. Ps if everything looks good in the motor the switch is another inditiated..
  5. Hi! I have the same model euro version, that drill is brushed and you can have 2 situation, one good and one bad.. is it sparking more than normal? open the back cap with the two screws, don’t let dust go inside the bearing slot and careful not to loose 2 silicon small points inside. check if the brusches are long enough to be very good spring loaded. They can be finished even if you have good amount of material. check connections. if you find dark color o where bushes apply or in the copper inside you probably burned the rotor, does not cost too much if you change by yourself. Please let us know.
  6. Hi! May be you already taken you decision but I want to give my experience with more than 15 chainsaws most of them cordless. I have all makita 18 and 2x18(36v) and performs very well considering they are very slim lightweight and balanced. Just let the saw cut and not force them. my models are made in Germany and Romania. batteries are very common and reliable. Dewalt flexvolt never tried but some owner in forums claimed some defect due to “non experience” in forest tool from Dewalt. stihl you will go on the sure satisfaction but only with the professional line example the MSA300 that cost a fortune and batteries are exclusive use on Stihl tools. ot depends on money and the tools and batteries you may already have. please tell us what you choose!! Good work!
  7. Hello! I would like to share with you and also ask your advices about this matter. I am a home owner, mostly Makita lxt user from garden to house vac. have also Dewalt and another cheap brand cordless tools lines. Almost a tools collectioner but I use them a lot! my matter is this, I started to find good deals on Makita 40v Xgt tools, often cheaper than Lxt 18 and 36v. but just bare unit speaking.. new 40v batteries are crazy expensive!! I have the pdc01 so I can power xgt tools but not every tool is usable with a heavy backpack on shoulders… considering that I am a home owner and with a lot of tools and 18v batteries do you think will be worth start buying xgt tools (not really need them) and be forced to add other very expensive batteries?? Thank for sharing your thoughts and experiences. have good night (here)
