DaveJr.
So I am interested in buying the SDS Rotary Hammer. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Do you like it? As far has bits/chisels, I believe it takes standard SDS bits, not the SDS Max bits, right? It says it has a chuck capacity of 1", but does it accept 3/4" bits? If you can't tell I am not very familiar with SDS's yet. Thanks, Dave
RickyMcGrath
I believe the 1" capacity refers to the diameter of bit it will drive. I have the previous, brushed version and drilled up to 3/4" holes. It is the standard SDS bits.
RickyMcGrath
There is some cross compatibility with SDS & SDS PLUS. But not SDS Max.
JimboS1ice
Sds is a quick connection, like Ricky said 1" is the rated capacity of the tool, you could put a bigger bit but it won't be very efficient, but with these hammers their sweet spot is about 2/3 of the capacity Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
