Just me
Hi guys.I need to drill a 100mm diameter hole in my kitchen for the extractor fan ducting. After googling a bit I found a reasonable price on one website. I don't need anything too professional because I'm a DIY person and I'm not doing this sort of holes everyday. Instead of hiring it for £50 I can buy one and keep it to use in any other property that I can move to. I always like to buy professional tools to do my bits and pieces but in this situation I don't think I need something too expensive. Please check the link below and tell me what you guys think: http://www.bamfordtrading.com/products/core-drill-sds-kit-107x150-sds--diamond-core-drill-107mm-diameter-x-150mm-with-arborpilot-drill.html
wayneburgess
Looks very good.Just make sure your power drill is up to the job, and that it has a clutch in case the drill snags up with dust because believe me that can hurt. The hole is to be drilled in a cavity wall and I've got the decent sds drill. Anything else you can recommend that doesn't cost a lot for a person like me to drill a hole with a diamond core once in a blue moon? Conductor562
Being tooled for SDS+ there really isn't a cheap option. I would think that most any SDS+ would be sufficient for your intended task. Best of luck to you.
wayneburgess
I recommend if you want the hole dead level through the wall to set up a laser level to the side of your intended hole set dead on centre, then as you drill keep the horizontal beam running down the centre of your drill bit as you drill and hey presto you have a laser accurate level hole through your wall.
