Need to build mounts for the new LN screwdriver, LN spoke shave and Yankee Screwdriver and my new Starrett protractor. I don't have much interest in large jointer planes but might consider a skew block plane with fence. Otherwise, I think I am done Dudley. Don't be a rookie. You're N-E-V-E-R done!

rrmccabe
LOL, I dont have big expectations of becoming a hand tool woodworker. I just use them to finish off my power tool joints.
rrmccabe
Well the backordered chisel plane just showed up. Is bigger than I expected. Nice piece though. Since its the same size as the block planes and my small scraper plane, it was at home in the last narrow slot. Last night built a hanger for the spokeshave and LN screwdriver. Now need to do the same for the Stanley push drill and the starrett protractor.

No offense dude, but your definitely going with Marc's approach on Hybridism ??

I bought his book. Best book ever. So I am signed up to that hybrid method The only thing he really missed in my opinion is the use of a quality marking gauge. Not just for marking but as a small router plane and pairing device. Stuff I learned from Rob Cosman.
rrich1
jealous of your hand tool cabinet! i have no place to put my planes as of right now. I really need to build something for them.
rrmccabe
I really needed something bad. I was going to put it on end my new bench but starting to get some money wrapped up in planes and did not want them close to the floor where they could get splashed with water or something.
