YukonPlumber Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 I just bought a brand new DCK 275L drill/driver kit i get home and plug in the charger and throw a battery on it, and it starts flashing replace pack so i try the other battery some thing. I tried removing and replacing like 20 times and it just flashes indicating replace battery. Whats going on? Should i just return this? This is my first dewalt purchase and this might just make me go back to Milwaukee......
kanxrus Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Exchange it. If a product sat on the shelf to long before purchase the Li-ion batteries may have become so discharged that the damage is irreversible. It's a lithium issue, not a Dewalt issue.

Exactly, that is why they changed the software to ship packs in sleep mode so it will prevent self discharge on the cell
