Did I hurt my battery?

So my battery died for the first time at work today, it's a lithium nano xrp I was using the impact driver then it just stopped dead, then I pulledmthe trigger again and it drove for a sec then died, then I pulled the trigger for a third time and it kinda just wined down to a stop, now by me dong this would it damage the battery at all?

Do not worry, just put the battery on the charger. Theay can take much more beating then just pulling the trigger when it is time to recharge. The lithium battery have some micro controller inside that shut down the battery when it is time to recharge. If I remember right is is about 30 percent of power left in the battery before the shut down. The electronics does this so you can not empty the battery. A totaly empty lithium battery may not take charge but in your case there will be a lot of power left, just that you are not allowed to use it for the microcontroller inside the batt.
