TylerDama
Currently looking to up grade from a Kobalt 18v. NiCad set, was considering going brushless. Came across this Makita set and wanted your opinions or other options.http://www.homedepot.com/p/Makita-18-Volt-LXT-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-Combo-Kit-2-Piece-with-Free-Circular-Saw-XT248-BSS611Z/204510174?N=5yc1vZc8w1 Thanks
Javier
That's an improvement over the kobalt set for sure and that's a great deal for what you get when you consider the circular saw
Conductor562
That's a great price. I'm not real high on Makita's cordless line at the moment, mostly because of their lack of effort in keeping up with the competition, but that is a great price. ChrisK
All things considered, I had that circular saw at one point several years ago and it was actually a pretty decent saw. I haven't tried those brushless tools but I know the hammer has a ratcheting plastic chuck and not a huge amount of torque. The Impactor is a single speed but again, I haven't used either one of those and I base this simply on reviews.
TylerDama
With Fathers Day coming up I think I am going to hold off to see if other manufactures will have similar deals.
Javier
Yeah it's a good deal because it has the circular saw. Now if it was a 3 speed impact driver and their heavy duty brushless hammer drill then it would be great even without the saw
