Mr. Yellow Posted November 30, 2014 Report Share Posted November 30, 2014 I wish/hope that DeWALT will update their rotary laser.Now all the main tools are available in the new line we see specialty tools coming out, like the drywall gun or the grease gun. So the rotary laser should fit in there.Still haven't got one and holding off buying any of the current (old) models as I want one I can use with my DeWALT slidepacks. I think the days of the traditional rotary laser are numbered in favor of a Conical LED system. The brightness of the conical just isn't there yet. Talking about lasers. There are the standard red beam lasers and then there are green beam lasers. Are those exclusively for indoor use?A while ago I read different opinions, but noone seems to know. What I got out of it was that green beams are hard to see outdoors, but much better indoors than red beams. For outdoor use I don't need to see the beam as it's always being used with a receiver.
