madman_us
I just bought a saw blade from HD which was on clearance because 1 tooth is chipped off.normal price is $35 and I bought it for $17.I think I can live with 1 missing tooth I might use it to cut old boards to size for my fireplace or does freud have warranty on those teeth?! comp56
I would be curious on why/how the tooth is missing? dropped? fell off? poor silver solder?
madman_us
Here some picsthey had that blade without plastic wrapping in the shelf. but I looked at that blade 1 or 2 weeks ago and it didn't have a chipped tooth at that time. I tried to buy it with a discount, but they just wanted to give me 10% . so $3.50 lol.so now I saved 50% but got a chipped tooth, but I think its ok
comp56
you probably could go to a blade sharpening shop and get a new one put on for less than the 50% you saved....
madman_us
ya I can check that out, when its not too expensive.I never used a blade with 1 missing tooth - does it effect the cut?!
BK13
I'd be more concerned with balance.
comp56
na 1 or 2 teeth won't effect balance but a shop can replace for a couple bucks per tooth..... I would guess your not gonna notice as it is a general purpose 44 tooth blade, most likely an Alternating Top Bevel- ATB
